Absolutely incredible Mexican food. Highly recommend the sopes and the tacos. Carne asada is some of the best I’ve ever had. Al pastor is fantastic as well!! You can tell the tortillas are homemade – sooo good! Only in the area for 3 weeks and I’ve already been here 3 times. Highly recommend this place for some incredible authentic Mexican food.

Update: I still think Adriana’s has the best authentic Mexican in the state but there is a cucaracha (cockroach) problem. At this point, my husband and I have seen them multiple times and even during the day which signifies a huge issue. There appears to be an infestation. This is a massive public health issue as roaches can carry diseases. We won’t be eating here again until it seems like this problem has been fixed. It’s so disappointing and I hate to leave a bad review but there is no way they aren’t aware. They need to invest in fixing that problem. I truly hope they fix this because the food is amazing.
These are the BEST tacos in Virginia and can compete easily with some of Californias taquerias! I consider myself a foodie. Having grown up in Cali and being married to a Mexican, and having visited Mexico, I can attest to the authenticity of these flavors. It’s all in the meat and how it is prepared.
This is a pass through stop between SW Virginia and the 757. I make this stop a few times a year and we have stopped at tons of other places in Petersburg and finally got around to Adriana’s. I have now been twice and I can say it’s consistent.
I have ordered birria, suadero, carnitas, pastor, barbacoa, y asada tacos. It’s served traditionally with grilled jalapeños, onions and radish.
The chips and homemade salsas are 10/10!! I haven’t had chips like these anywhere else in Virginia.
I recently had tacos at a Michelin taqueria in Oakland, which is supposed to have the best tacos in the Bay Area and I would say that Adriana’s wins in my book with some of the flavors. Whoever is the cook and has the recipes, never fire them!!
Also, the agua frescas are great. Not TOO sweet. Just right.

I’ve been coming here since 2016 and every chance I get to introduce someone to this authentic Mexican food, I do. My go to is pazole or the tacos. The chips and three different types of salsa are the best!
My only complaint is if you go in the summer time it’s hot inside. I went today and the music was a little too loud but it didn’t change the flavors of the food. I’m warning ⚠️ you! If you come here once, you will come again, and AGAIN!

I would give 5 stars, however the inconvenience of paying with Zelle and no alcohol for my friends prevented me from giving 5 stars. Our waitress was very nice and accommodative. I ordered the fajitas but I was not a fan of how the shrimp was cooked and it was very greasy making it heavy for me. I switched it out for caldo de res and that soup was very memorable for me. The veggies were soft, the beef fell off the bone and was cooked just right, and that broth almost brought tears to my eyes with how flavorful and light it was. The horchata was also delicious and not overpowering. Definitely go here for the sopes, tacos, and agua Frescas.

This is an outstanding Taqueria. The chips and salsa are top notch. I ordered tacos with carne asada. They came with generous cilantro, onions, and a slice of avocado on top – a nice touch. My friend ordered enchiladas and they were also very fresh and tasty. All of the food exceeded our expectations. I wish I had a place this good near me.

Hidden gem. Service is fantastic. Food is authentic. Everything from the tacos to tortas to enchiladas are great. Their chips and salsa are made in house. Horchata is perfect. Can’t say enough good things about this place.
