In those days a round trip between Santa Barbara and Glendale in a rainy season could take more than five weeks.
Mexican meals & margaritas served in a rustic interior or on the landscaped, heated patio.

Experience traditional Mexican cuisine—fresh, vibrant, and passed down through generations. Unique flavors! Authentic recipes!
The indoor dining area was a little dark so we decided to eat outside. They do have a full bar. I love the patio garden dining area, which is a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. We started off with The Adobe Margarita, which was so refreshing and chips & salsa was good. It has a bit of spice!
The WOW factor is this Molcajete (for 2) with an amazingly delicious guajillo pepper red sauce, which I put on EVERYTHING!! It comes to the table bubbling hot! Although, I would have liked for it to stay bubbling hot a little longer. It’s filled with steak, chicken, shrimp, panela cheese, fresh cactus leaf, chorizo and grilled onions. I would have preferred for the onions to not be on top (there was a lot of them) and for the steak to show more instead of being buried. I would have liked a better presentation (from other Molcajetes I’ve had).
The Cochinita Pibil is a slow-roasted Yucatán-style pork that’s wrapped in banana leaves. I would have liked the banana leaves for presentation. It was tender but nothing about it wowed me.
Service was a little slow even though it was not too busy. We didn’t get our water refilled throughout our whole meal. And, it took awhile to get our check.

Servers (Ricardo) lack of menu knowledge, server was rude and lied once confronted, and the manager (Jose) refused to remedy the situation in the moment after correcting the server for the lack of menu knowledge.
The story:
Everyone’s order was correct except for one of the family members. We let the server know we wanted shredded chicken in their burrito and not grilled chicken. He proceeded to say they do not offer shredded chicken which is offered in several other items including tacos. The manager had to get involved and corrected the server. However, the server still claims there is no shredded chicken. The server (Ricardo) slapped the check on our table (I wish I was joking) without offering dessert. We had to get another gracious employee involved just to get desert. The cherry on top is that the server claims he was never incorrect and that he had offered dessert before giving us the check. He still demanded a tip…..we gave him the tip.
However, this behavior is not okay.
