Sometimes after a long day, you just want to eat something substantial, and Adirondack Soul definitely delivers on that! I always plan to snap a picture before I dig in, but the food is just that good—I get so caught up in enjoying it that I forget. My dish was already partially eaten by the time I remembered to take a photo!
The friendly service adds to the experience, making it a wonderful asset to downtown Gloversville. If you’re in the area and looking for a meal that will really stick to your ribs, their combination plate is fantastic. And don’t forget to try the carrot soufflé and cornbread—they’re must-haves!
Highly recommend!

The food was amazing. We would regularly frequent this place if we lived in the area. I highly recommend the spareribs, baked chicken, cornbread, collard greens, and the carrot soufflé. Wait – I just recommended pretty much everything I ate! The owners are super friendly and answered all my questions about the food with interest and useful information. I saw a brief interaction with a guy who was down on his luck – they thoroughly impressed me with their kindness. What wonderful people! And what tasty food! Just as a note – look for their yellow signs on Main St. The signs made them easy to find. They said that they do catering – I’m sure it’s good. They have a wonderful combo of delicious food and warm personalities.

What a fantastic place! Angela is so friendly and you can feel her smile thru the phone. We placed a large order for an activity we were having and could not have been happier. We ordered the mac and cheese, meatloaf, baked chicken, curry chicken, cabbage, corn bread. Omg talk about delicious, by far the mac and cheese, meatloaf, cabbage and corn bread were the best I’ve had in a very long time, those had the entire room silent, after everyone in the room agreed those were our favorites and a must have again. This place is a hidden jem, we will be back again and again.

This place is nothing short of fantastic. We all want a new place, new experiences, but perfection. We all want to be the judge of what other people are cooking! For us, we wanted a date day with delicious, affordable food that wasn’t “fast food”. Well look no further than your backyard and just visit already.
Because our time is limited to actually enjoy a date during the day, we ordered almost everything on the menu to try! We regretted nothing! There is no option you’d be disappointed in and no flavor combination not worth trying. This restaurant has made it easy for you to dine-in or order to-go and it was quick! Forget doing the dishes, forget the expensive fast food meals you’ve relied on for years and go to Adirondack Soul Company. Soul food that is clean, made with all the right flavors, doesn’t break the bank and leaves you trying to plan the next time you can make it back! They have made the food and experience so easy so you have nothing to worry about but to enjoy!

One of my favorite lunch date places. Always great food, and love when they run specials. Talking to the owners, you’d think you e known them for years. Super personable, friendly and have a love for what they do that shows in their dishes.

Run, do not walk, to this incredible soul food restaurant, right in the heart of Gloversville! The food is banging, atmosphere is wonderful, and the owners are servicing up with a smile and a great attitude. So many great things to choose from, but I got the basics, to go. Baked chicken, collards, and carrot souffle. But nothing about it was basic. Chicken with a delicious skin, moist, so flavorful all the way through the meat. Collards perfectly tender, tasty, not an overdone soggy afterthought, with a good hit of spice that wasn’t overwhelming. The cornbread…savory with a hint of sweetness. You could slather it with butter, but it doesn’t need it. The grand winner? That carrot souffle, y’all! Light, airy, sweet and delectable! I could eat a whole pan of that! And guess what? It’s carrots! So its good for you! My first time here. Absolutely won’t be my last. Go get yours…its worth the trip!!

A little gem. Our dinner was just delicious. Service was quick and friendly…but again…the food. There was lots of “yumms” and “oh my”s at our table. Can’t wait to return for the beef dinner!

First time trying food from the Adirondack soul company. The meals were delicious! My daughter had the kids portioned size meatloaf and I ordered the chicken curry & rib combination. Everything including the sides were on point. It was great seeing the place being run by family members. Watching a father and daughter work together is amazing. If I had to suggest something, it would be to have some kind of music playing in the background. It was alittle quiet while eating in the dining room. Overall I definitely recommend coming to this place for some great soul food.
