I can’t believe I have never reviewed them before because my family LOVES Adelitas! Amazing place with great food at reasonable prices. I especially love the al pastor and the elotes.
They have high chairs, but no changing table in the bathroom so I give it a 3/5 for family-friendliness.

Super casual laid back place. Friendly staff and delicious tacos! You order at the counter and they bring it to you when ready. There’s a big indoor as well s an outdoor seating area. I had the beef birria tacos and they were amazing! They also have a ton of Mexican specialty food items in the grocery area. I’ll definitely be back!

Oh my god this place Is seriously a diamond in the rough. From the outside I was a bit skeptical as the restaurant doesn’t look super fancy/high end, but when you walk through that door you are entering a hidden oasis. The food is so insanely good, and my god did it come out super quick too I was blown away. I don’t even like Mexican food but this is like angelic food. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. They also sell Tylenol and some other random stuff at the entrance which was funny to me.

VERDICT: An excellent stop for Mexican takeout or dine in, reminiscent of the family-run tortillerías near the border.
THE REVIEW: This place hits all the high points of a quaint family run market and restaurant. The shelves are stocked with a random smattering of products from Kirkland to Mexico. The experience of a location like this largely hinges on the meta-data provided by the experience around the food– typically, like stepping into another world. The food itself is quite good (leaning more toward authentic). This is not Tex-Mex (thankfully), and where it shines is leaning more toward the authentic when dealing in things like birría, menudo, etc. Give it a try. Their menu is huge, so I’ll come back and write more as I try more.
As for the gentleman that mentioned extra charges for using a card, I didn’t see one. They do ask for a tip at the register, but that’s due to their software. Most modular point-of-sales systems have tipping built in and turning it off can be a problem for the less tech savvy.

If you’re craving tacos after 10 or 11 pm on a Tuesday…or any weekday, you only have two choices from Caldwell to Boise. Of those two choices, only one accepts card payments. It’s Adelitas on the very end of Overland in Boise. They have a great selection of hot food items plus there’s also a small Mexican grocery store inside with everything from piñatas and frozen tamales (homemade) to popular Mexican snacks and more!
I walked in shortly before closing time and service was top notch all the way through! I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Mexican food. They close at midnight!

Paid almost $15 for three rolled chicken tacos, that were COVERED in sour cream and some tomato sauce. It didnt even look like there were tacos on my plate with how much extra stuff there was. I’m not sure enjoys their tacos that way but inedible for me.

Unexpected late night food location. Open till midnight. Amount of food was generous and inexpensive. I normally have a pretty good appetite but got another 2 meals out of the leftovers. Friendly and helpful behind the register.

Moved here from AZ and this spot is by far the closet to the food back home. Everything is flavorful and you’ll want to order more. The birria tacos are 1000/10 as well as the birria torta.
