Adele’s Frozen Custard is the best custard I have ever had. This place is a true Minnesota summer staple. I honestly can’t say enough good things about it. The staff are so friendly and upbeat, and they always go above and beyond. Most of them are students, so be generous with tips because they absolutely make the experience better.
The toppings are LOADED on, not sprinkled, and the cookie dough is especially fantastic. You’ll probably need a second cup because it’s overflowing, which is never a bad problem to have. The service is great whether you go through the drive-thru or inside, and it’s always fast and welcoming.
Adele’s is one of those places you crave year round and it never disappoints.

Small and wonderful place to spend time with kids and family. Custard is very tasty and highly recommend. Indoor seating is 10 max and outdoor have good space for 10+. You have drive in as well.

I’m from the east coast and still haven’t found a soft served ice cream place that I love… BUT!!! This is the next best thing I found! Not only was it delicious, but my “red white and blueberry” had real raspberries and blueberries in it! Pleasant surprise. Staff were very patient, friendly and helpful. Quick service. Aaaaand free water! Which feels silly to add— but! I went to get ice cream at Dairy Queen last week during the heat wave. I had asked for a cup of water with my order and they refused me and offered me a FOUR DOLLAR bottle of water instead. I was so upset i cancelled my order and went to Culvers lol. You can’t give me water? I can’t give you my money. Just robbery. It was over 90 degrees that day. Also DQ is expensive and isn’t even that good. Adele’s is very reasonably priced. So! It’s wonderful to see a local place not penny pinch you and offer a wonderful product and experience.

I recently made my first trip to Adele’s Frozen Custard! What a treat! I had the peanut butter banana custard with chunks of brownie! I was amazing! My friends who joined me had the S’more custard which they thoroughly enjoyed! It’s great little shop in what appears to be an old house in Excelsior! And they have more than just custard! The have sandwiches and other savory deliciousness! I didn’t try any of those things but I will happily go back and give it a go!

Great little lunch spot in excelsior off the beaten path. The frozen custard is excellent. A heaping portion of candy in their mixers. Regular, sugar, and waffles cones. Sundaes, etc. this has become one of the best ice cream places in the SW cities area.
Had the hot BBQ pork, it was good and large. The chili dog was also sizeable.
They stay open until sometime in November, so don’t waist time with Culver’s or DQ, come here instead!

Great place for kids! We usually walk along the lake to then sit down outside Adele’s and enjoy our custard. I love the cookie dough one. I ask for more cookie dough for a small extra price worth it!

Adele’s NEVER disappoints. We come here regularly. The service is always super friendly and quick, regardless of how busy they are. And the custard is out of this world good!!! We’ve tried the cones, dishes, sundaes, every flavor has been amazing and they aren’t shy with the serving size or toppings. Even if you get their standard sundae or small cone, it’s a great amount.
This is the Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae (3 scoops) We ordered it with chocolate custard. It was HUGE and so delicious as expected. Thanks Adele’s!!!

Wonderful local frozen custard shop! This place has the perfect charm of feeling small town and being by the lake. Great selection of goodies, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, plus a drive thru. Went in on a Wednesday evening and the place was hopping! Highly recommend.

Such a charming location and the custard is undeniably delicious! I could see how the parking lot might be a little frustrating if they’re super busy, but we got lucky and were able to snag an open spot. Everything we got was delicious and the staff were all super nice. They had a lot of people working so service was fast and no one seemed to be stressed. Looking forward to going back!
