We tried Adega for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. It’s a small intimate restaurant and bar that serves up genuine Portuguese cuisine! We enjoyed a shrimp dumpling appetizer which was very tasty. The chicken Madeira entree was very good as was the fish stew. Portions are quite large. For dessert we liked the pastelginatas. House wine which is a vino verde was also good! Our server Augustas was very attentive and friendly! We’ll definitely be back!

I had a wonderful experience at Adega Restaurant in Woburn, MA. The food was authentic Portuguese cuisine and very delicious, but what impressed me most was that the food in there was even better than the food I had when in Portugal. I highly recommend this restaurant and I would like to thank our waiter Leo for his outstanding attention and service. This is also a very cozy place to bring family and friends, and parking is also very convenient, park just in front of the restaurant.

I loved the experience at this amazing place. These smaller places always have a special charm. Gabriel ordered a pork fillet with potatoes, which was delicious. I also tried the crab cake, which was quite tasty. Overall, the cozy atmosphere and authentic dishes made the visit worthwhile, even though the sausage wasn’t my favorite.

Our first time there and the food was incredible! The sangria is absolutely worth trying and you can even choose your size carafe (small, medium and even large). Wait staff were very cordial and answered all our questions. The food is Portuguese, with a nod to the Azores in the flavors and dishes.

The closest thing we have to Portugal. The vibe, the attentive staff, and of course the food.
Highly recommend this little hidden jewel in Woburn, MA. ★★★★★

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend the food and had a pretty middling experience at Adega. We went in the afternoon and enjoyed the capirinha that was recommended. After that, things went pretty south. We tried the fries and the cod cakes and they were decent when paired with the ketchup and hot sauce respectively. Next we ordered the seafood platter and found the clams, lobster to taste pretty fish-y. We also tried the octopus and thought it tasted rubbery and could use more flavor than just the olive oil provided.
Talked up the wait staff and turns out it is a family restaurant. Service was friendly and we had an interesting chat. Overall, I don’t think I would recommend the food here, or I would at least try other items on the menu and just their drinks.

One of the worst meals I’ve had in a lot time. The limpets were almost near rancidness and it’s an embarrassment they served it. The steak was overcooked and had no seasoning. The mussels and squid were undercooked and gave us fear of getting sick. The lobster was way overcooked and chewy.
So why 2 stars? The seasoned rice that were parts of our dishes were lovely. And the shrimp was cooked properly lol. And it wasn’t inedible. But my friend barely touched her food. I could still eat.

The Food was amazing. We were three couples on a Saturday evening. We waited about 25 min for a table but definitely worth the wait. We ordered the large Sangria and enjoyed it a lot. I ordered the grilled octopus, wife baked cod, and our friends other seafood and lamb dishes. Everything was amazing, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Really good portions and reasonable prices for the the type of food. Definitely recomended.

The limpets were disgusting, tasted like rotten shellfish with a canned food texture. None of the seafood dishes we ordered tasted fresh. This is one of the worst meals I’ve ever had, extremely cheap quality for the price tag.
