Beyond Breakfast: Addis Restaurant | Columbus, OH

Our platter at Addis included kitfo, mahbarawi, tibs, and zillzill tibs. This all included lots of veggies, lentils, and stew-like preparations of beef.

The mango smoothie is really good. I had never tried Ethiopian food before. They were super friendly and helpful. The food is well prepared and presented beautifully.

Family-Sized Mix Platter
Perfect for sharing, loaded with variety, and served on soft, spongy injera that ties it all together. Every bite tells a story.

Although I wasn’t very familiar with Ethiopian cuisine, I had a great time at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the price was very fair, especially considering that we ordered a platter for four people and couldn’t even finish it! My friend really enjoyed the mango smoothie, but I found it a bit too sweet and heavy. The one downside was that the restaurant was very busy, and they occasionally forgot to bring our additional orders. Also, they charged us the wrong amount, so it’s important to double-check your tab during checkout. However, despite these minor issues, the food was superb and definitely worth a visit for anyone in the area looking to try something new.

I ate here a few weeks back but my experience was very pleasant. My friend and I are both newer to African cuisine so we asked a lot of questions about the foods what they would recommend. The server was very friendly and gave great suggestions and info. Definitely will be coming back. I’m a huge fan of the Ethiopian flat bread.

Favorite Columbus restaurant. Addis has stellar food, the nicest staff, and generous portions for the prices. Very vegetarian friendly, too. Addis carryout was my weekend treat throughout the pandemic, and after moving to New York for 2 years my husband and I finally got a chance to visit Columbus recently and dine it at Addis. It was so lovely, and the food was gorgeous. 10/10, such a hidden gem.

Came here with my family and was pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it! My grandmother is a picky eater and she scrapped the plate clean. Our entire table did! Big portions and an authentic feel.

My husband wants a big fan of Ethiopian food, so we gave Addis a try. Very good and authentic food. I just wish the spicy level was displayed. The Dora Wot was insanely spicy. Luckily, there was some cheese that came with it.
