I really liked the sandwich. I got the kickin roast beef and it was good, flavorful, and had tons of meat. So much that I was unable to finish the last couple inches of sandwich . I read some reviews and I do agree the guy at the register is kinda short in his answers but in a friendly way … I think? . He didn’t seem to care that I subbed ingredients out. So that’s good. I’d probably come back though. 🙂 I think it was a nice sandwich.

One of my favorite spots in town, the ingredients are so fresh in the sandwiches and the soup they sell everyday is delicious. They also have great homemade frozen options such as ravioli and pierogis which are also great! I would highly recommend and the prices are very reasonable.

Cannot say enough about this place. The best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The fresh, quality ingredients sets them apart. Everything on there menu is delicious. They have wonderful sides and desserts as well. Adam is doing everything right and McHenry is lucky to have him!

First time here and not really impressed enough to return. Sandwich bread was hard and overall dry. Needs more spread. Love the amount of veggies and meat though. Cashier was kinda rude, he said “we don’t have uhhh on the menu” to my husband. Not cool. I think I’ll stick with Grandmas wine bar and deli for my sandwiches.

Sandwich was delicious, cashier was rude at first. Ask one simple question, since I saw the cannolis already premade in the refrigerator. I asked. Can you make them fresh. The cashier wouldn’t even let me finished before saying of course it’s fresh. I wouldn’t give you day old food. What I was going to continue asking was could you put the cannoli cream in the shell fresh because I can’t stand a soggy cannoli shell. But I love cannolis. I simply said forget it. I walked away. Let my husband deal with him. My husband cashed out and The cashier ask my husband did i upset your wife. I think my husband explained and then the guy was very apologetic. He took ownership which is great. But if you are the cashier, you need to think of how your answer comes off to a question. There’s always a nice way to say something or a rude way to say something.. Mostly since we said this was the first time we were there. I’m a true believer in customer service and I don’t care how good the food is. I will not come back if people are rude…
The two women behind the counter who made the 2 sandwiches did a fabulous job. Sandwiches were delicious. But again crack a smile when someone ask you for some mayo. I don’t know if everyone was just having a bad day that day, but it’s not the first time I’ve heard of this when it comes to the sandwich shop. People have said great food, just not the most friendly people working there.
If I’ll say one thing to this place would be crack a smile Because It goes a long way. You don’t need to be chatty. Just a smile

First time there and male cashier with beard. (Hope thats not the owner) Very rude. I cant see the menu clearly because of the bright light so when I ordered i wasnt sure of the sizes they have. He just points at the menu and since I cant see it on the board I couldnt tell him. I even apologized being my first time there. He then rudely tell me 6,12, 22 maybe for the third size. Must have been a bad day for him but it wasnt even busy. I could tell something is not right. When you come in, no one even greets you hello or something. Its dead silent. There were 3 ladies that are working there too. I stood near the door thinking those ladies will take the order. Nope its the rude cashier that was stating at me when I came in. Is it that im brown? He was welcoming to the white guy that ordered after me. He even said welcome to Mchenry. And one more, my order was incomplete. The soup wasnt there. $30 for a 6 and 12. Expensive.

It’s not often that the owner takes the time to make everyone feel welcome and to check in on his customers after the sandwiches arrive. We had the muffaletta sandwich and it’s huge and is amazing. We love it!
