Drove all the way from Hallsville on Sunday because website showed open till 4:00 PM. Tried calling repeatedly, but the phone seemed off the hook; I should have known. Arrived about 2pm, and the place was closed up tight. Painted on a window was “OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK ” LOL.
I’ve had their food catered at work anyway, and it isn’t impressive. But I wanted hot links, and they were the only place claiming to be open.
They won’t be bothered by me again.

I Haven’t been inside but the food is awesome! They use to have a bbq leg quarter covered in bbq sauce it was the best! The baked beans and the Macaroni is delicious

My husband is a serious BBQer so he is very picky about eating at a BBQ joint. He & I both were very impressed with how tender the brisket is, the ribs are cooked perfectly w/ a little kick to them. The potato salad is seriously the best I’ve ever had & the Pinto beans packed with flavor. Don’t miss out on the banana pudding! It is almost meringue like! Sinfully good! Highly recommend Adams Rib pit BBQ!

I hate to give this place a four-star rating and only a three for the food, but here’s my reasoning. If your business name has “Rib” in it, the ribs should be absolutely amazing—and that’s where my issue lies.
For me, good ribs should hit a certain level of tenderness—not so soft that they completely fall off the bone when you pick them up, but tender enough that you don’t have to fight to get the meat off. Unfortunately, these ribs lacked that perfect tenderness and required more chewing than I expected.
That said, I’ve eaten a lot of their other barbecue items—like the sausage and turkey—and they’ve all been fantastic. Everything else has been spot on. The service is excellent, and the big guy cooking in the back is super friendly.
Bottom line: If “Rib” is in your name, your ribs should be the best I’ve had anywhere. They’re good, but they just don’t live up to the name yet.

We had 3 pc meat plate with 2 ribs and brisket. Our sides were mac & cheese and baked beans. Everything was hot. Fresh and delicious. The crew were pleasant and accommodating. We will be back. Great experience!

Ordered the Brisket and wow that was the driest meat and no flavor at all . I didn’t use sauce because of the sugars . That meat was either way over cooked ,or they don’t know how to cook ,or their quality of meat is bad . I’ve actually never ordered bbq in my life that dry . I would never go back . Not everyone should have restaurants this is one of those places . I kept pouring on the pepper and salt just to get some flavor . I almost asked for bbq sauce to help eat it ! I finally gave up and took the rest home. Dogs will be happy 🙂

We ordered 2 baked potatoes with brisket. At 4:45 they informed us they were out of brisket. Who runs out of brisket at 4:30. We got it with turkey ,ok but not brisket. The potatoes were hard as a rock. Very disappointing. We’ll probably go to their competition in the future.

The food is ALWAYS at its best. Service is great, and the restaurant is always clean. We also get dinner to go and have never had an item missing or been disappointed. It’s always good.
