Acropolis Grill in Chattanooga is an absolute gem for anyone who loves great food and generous portions. The dishes are consistently excellent, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. One standout that deserves special mention is the pot roast—it’s incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere.

And then there’s the dessert counter… an entire display filled with fresh-made cakes, pies, and pastries that look as good as they taste. It’s impossible to leave without trying something sweet. From savory comfort food to unforgettable desserts, Acropolis Grill delivers every time. Highly recommended.

The location is convenient to the interstate and surrounding area. The restaurant was three-fourths full on a Wednesday night. Service was attentive with several people, including the manager, stopping by to see if we were satisfied. I had the chicken kebab, my friend had the fisherman’s platter. The food was good but I’ve been spoilt by tasting authentic Greek food. (For example, the Greek salad came with lettuce while “real” salads in Greece don’t have lettuce). Portion size was good. Price is fair. My friend felt his seafood was slightly overcooked. We did have to ask for lemon for our water. There’s a dessert case at the entrance with lots of yummy treats but we didn’t get anything.

Food was excellent and the allow dogs on their outdoor area which in the winter is heated and covered. That made it a great stop for us as we traveled south with our dog. We’ll go out of our way to stop again. I thought the lamb shank was excellent and my wife enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The meals both came with salads and the Greek and southern pecan were both tasty. In addition they served a nice bread basket. The pricing was very reasonable and the service was good too. The owner even stoped by to check on us. Highly recommend.

My wife, daughter and I visited today food lunch. Olivia was our server.
The good: Were ordered the spreads appetizer, gyro dinner, and two Greek spaghetti. The food was very good. We enjoyed that part of the visit very much.
And for all we ordered, $65 isn’t that bad for quality food. I’ll pay that gladly.
Everything seemed clean. The dining area, restrooms, etc… were all in good shape.
The bad: Our service. Maybe today just wasn’t her day. We all have them and that’s what I prefer to think because the service was terrible. The ladies asked for lemon with their water. No lemon. The food arrived before the salads. When it did arrive my salad had the wrong dressing. A different employee attempted to bring me the correct dressing but Olivia had already correctly taken the salad for replacement. We had to ask for bread after the food was already there. None was brought to the table when we were seated. It was just an uncoordinated mess.
Would it stop us from going back? My wife and I, yes. My daughter and her husband have just found the place and are enjoying it. I’m sure they’ll return. Would I recommend it? Maybe with a word of warning. We’ll probably skip it because Chattanooga has too many good places to eat to bother with bad service. Should you try it? Sure, give it a try. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.
(The owner did check on us as we were about to leave. We were ready to go and I don’t like to seem like I’m trying to get something knocked off my bill by complaining so we left.)

Everything was amazing but the margarine. I only like and use butter and they had margarine on my potato. I will make sure to ask for butter next time! Lentil soup was really good too. My whole family was there and we took up the whole back area!

We enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant. The salads were fresh and very good. I enjoyed the Greek chicken dish with pasta. Hubs had the Gyro plate and also said it was good. The menu is pretty diverse with a lot of food choices that we hope to return and try. Dessert Case looked amazing, but we didn’t try anything. Our server didn’t bother to clear any plates when we were done with them, and was slow to offer a drink refill. I wasn’t sure the bread was fresh, but I’m happy we tried it out.

This place was fantastic! We ordered the Gyro plate and pasticho, both of which were delicious. We also grabbed some sweets on our way out, and they were amazing too! Definitely a great experience!

Had dinner at this family owned place. Everything we had was absolutely fresh and delicious – the chicken souvlaki wrap, the lemon pasta with grilled chicken. Enjoyed the warm bread that’s almost like a dessert. Service was brisk and friendly. The owner came to our table and chatted with us – told her we wished they had an Atlanta area branch. Very reasonably priced too.
