We had an amazing dining experience at Acropolis Greek Restaurant in Biloxi, MS. The food was absolutely delicious, my Spanakopita was flaky and flavorful, and my wife’s Gyro plate was packed with tender, savory meat. The hummus was incredibly smooth and tasty, perfect with the warm pita. We finished with a piece of baklava that was the perfect sweet ending. The wait staff was kind, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We’re definitely going back to try something different.

The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was excellent. I had the grilled shrimp Greek salad and a piece of chocolate cake. The salad had plenty of toppings on it and everything was very flavorful, especially the shrimp. Their cake is homemade.

My husband and I stumbled across this wonderful Greek restaurant and were instantly impressed. We love Greek food and even traveled to Greece on our honeymoon, so we can truly appreciate authentic flavors.
The new owners are doing an amazing job. Everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the moussaka and my husband had the gyro plate, both were perfectly seasoned and very filling with generous portions. The baklava was outstanding and tasted just like what we had abroad.

We are so happy to welcome this restaurant to the area and highly recommend giving it a try. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I saw this restaurant featured in the local South Mississippi Living magazine and went to try it today. It was excellent! The space is bright and cheery, clean and inviting. We were welcomed when we came in and throughout our lunch. Our server was personable, able to describe the menu items for us and clearly exuded excitement about the place and the food. The beers were equally inviting with Mrs. Douvris Welcoming us and describing the day special. After we finished eating, owner and chef John Douvris Also came out and asked us how we enjoyed the meal.

We will definitely be back and tell everybody about our good experience. My husband got the heroes and added some sautéed onions, With the regular fries. It was large and delicious. I got the Gyro plate so that I could try their Greek salad, green beans and Greeks fries, which was part of the plate. It also came with warm pita bread, and of course, thinly sliced, perfectly seasoned and very tender Gyro meat piled high! And of course, tzatziki sauce!

All good, all authentic (as we found out also that John is 100% Greek). We got a lot of food for our money, had a nice conversation upon leaving with Mrs. Douvris, And we will definitely be back!! I can’t wait to come back and try his moussaka. We brought a piece of baklava home with us, which we will eat later with coffee.

The Owner greeted us as soon as we walked in and she was very nice. Gave us a little bit of history of her husband greek roots. The restaurant is nice and clean. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The price of the items are at par with the quality and quantity. We ordered a sampler appetizer which was generous in quantity and it was carefully prepared. Items were fresh and delicious. Salads were also very tasteful with a generous portion of feta cheese. My Gyro was not up to par and it was a little on the dry side. It could have been just a bad choice, but I had better. I’m definitely going back but I’ll try their combo platter next time.

Stopped by on Saturday afternoon. The gyro was hot, fresh and quick! It and the fresh cut French fries were delicious. Also tried the tiramisu, and found it sweet and delicate. My server Jennifer was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is laid back and inviting. I will definitely be back!

I’m from out of town so I’m never sure about where to go for lunch. Stopped in for lunch here and had the gyro with fries. The gyro was hot, fresh, and tender. The fries were hot and crispy. Service was great and prices were too. I saw other dishes which looked delicious too but didn’t try them. I will definitely be back.

The owner knows first impressions are critical, and she exceeds expectations with a welcoming presence and smile.

Food portions, presentation, and flavors are excellent—I had the Gyros (beef & lamb) Plate that was obviously prepared with “love.”

Server was outstanding and attentive.

Ambience: Soft lighting, Greek music at a volume that allowed for conversation

Highly recommended!
