Cute little spot with some tasty food and drinks! There’s some merchandise up front with items like pottery, candles, incense, bowls, spoons, and the like.
The baked goods at the front counter look delicious, yet to try. When ordering hot food be prepared to wait a bit, especially if they’re busy, as the food comes out fresh and hot!
I had my first espresso tonic at Acre and it was great! I was in the mood for a cold drink and made the switch from cold brew to espresso tonic based on barista’s recommendation. It was so good that I purchase some tonic so I can make at home!

This place deserves a 5 star review
The food was spectacular, it’s flavorful, in a beautiful setup and we enjoyed every bite.
My one in only remark is that I found it be a bit too small of a portion.
Other than that, highly recommend, the place is cozy and comfortable and very well designed with a little store with stunning merchandise✨✨

Brought here by a friend who had nothing but good things to say. Like the concept and the portions are healthy—enough for leftovers if you’re not famished, but the pricing feels close to sit-down style restaurant (and here you are doing most of the service yourself). The quality and freshness was excellent and everything cooked well. For me, taste wise was a tad bland but I’d rather that than doused in obnoxious sauces. Went at a busy time and felt a little squished with a packed line at the bakery/register/store section (trying not to knock into things or people) and then a little wait for a table to free up. Got some pastries for the road which were delicious even cold.

Cute and cozy place. The atmosphere is really nice. Its a little pricey but the amount of food you get is enough to satisfy you. The food is good. Would br more convienent if you dont need to ask for tiny water cups. Everything pretty clean.

Best to get there early for table choices and no wait.

Acre is a gem in Greenpoint’s budding “Little Tokyo” scene—a cozy, Japanese-owned cafe and lunch counter that’s equal parts coffee shop, bento box haven, and chill hangout. If you’re craving balanced, health-conscious Japanese comfort food without the fuss, this spot nails it.

Went on a Sunday morning for brunch, quick service and the atmosphere was calming. Delicious bento boxes, personally loved the salmon. Perfectly cooked with umami. Will come again

A must try if you even remotely like a more traditional Japanese type of meal. Everything is fresh and delicious. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait but know it’s worth it

Recently I went into a restaurant where I passed by. It’s a bento restaurant run by Japanese. I always go to Japanese restaurants run by Japanese. Atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant is stylish. They use two elements for Interior design, it’s combining New York industrial style with natural wood. The wood material and color soften the style of steel. Outdoors dining is a fantastic choice, it’s very comfortable when the weather is good. I like the open kitchen and self-service. The pickled radish in the bento is delicious, and the Japanese fried chicken is tender and soft, which goes well with purple rice. However, the brussels sprouts are a bit too hard and too salty. As for salads, they have never been my favorite. You can also purchase high-quality made in Japan organic matcha powder for tea ceremonies use and other high quality items import from Japan. I will definitely come back.

Party of 5. Went on a rainy Sunday and the line was at the door. Very popular place. Surprisingly we got a table after we ordered. It’s a first come first order to get a table.
For drinks, honey yuzu and hochicha were very good, . Ordered pesto avocado sandwich, pork katsu bento, chicken curry bento, vinegar fried chicken bento box, and the salmon bento box. All were good but salmon was our least favorite. Came with salad, brussel sprouts, black (purple colored) rice, and pickled radishes. Portion size is good for breakfast. Not heavy.
Service was nice. It’s not a fancy restaurant but a rustic Japanese coffee breakfast shop. Would come again.
