We were looking for a new place to celebrate my sister’s birthday so we looked at yelp and found Acqua E Farina. The restaurant looked well decorated and the food reviews were great. It was Black Friday and a little after 8pm and it looked like they were getting ready to close early. Guillermo our server made as feel comfortable and not rushed. He did a great job explaining the menu to us. The food was great but made it best was Guillermo’s service. Definitely recommend it and will be back.

Breakfast by day (Farmers Table) and Italian Restaurant by night! (Sunday through Thursday) what could be more perfect than having 2 amazing restaurants at one location in the heart of downtown Chula Vista?!

Have been wanting to check this place out since they opened and finally got a chance on our anniversary! We made reservations “just in case” and for a Tuesday night, this places was BUSY! They do not open until 4pm but as soon as they do, the people do not stop coming. We were immediately greeted amd seated. We asked for outside because of the great weather.

Our waiter, Roberto, was 5-star first class service, the best we could have ever asked for having our anniversary dinner here! The food…. soooo amazingly delicious! We ordered drinks and they were anything but ordinary, I had a lemon popsicle in my lemoncello drink! ….and rose petals in the secret drink BUT it was delicious and not the flavors expected. The appetizer was delicious and the battered fried in was tasty. The cheeeeese wheel – aged 24-month and it was brand new!!!! (Welllll at least it looked it) Roberto said they just got it in, that Italy is backlogged for cheese wheels and I can see why, this made the dish so rich and creamy… not really caring for mushrooms or sundried tomatoes, I gave this dish a shot and was not disappointed at all. They have 1 special each night that is made in the cheese bowl, so sorry you dint get to pick and choose. That makes sense and you don’t want additional flavors in your own dish. The entire experience was amazing from start to finish. I highly recommend this place and we will be coming back. Did I mention how affordable this place is, for being a classy Italian restaurant in downtown area?!?! Can’t wait to come back! Make sure to ask to sit in Roberto’s area!!!

Yesterday we had our Christmas party at thos place. Everything ran extremely smoothly. The room was decorated really nice. Manager Guillermo was very attentive as well. Fernando and his team were super nice. He even sang for us.
Bartenders Cami and Amber 10/10. Cocktails & mocktails were delicious.

Pasta ( freshly made) and pizzas were delicious.

Lots of parking .

This place is so underrated. They have the closest pasta I’ve had in Europe! Their pastas are always cooked right. My husband and I keep coming back here to try different pasta dishes. Who knew that Chula Vista has a hidden Italian restaurant?

I’m honestly a very picky eater and usually stick to the same “safe” dishes everywhere I go (pizzas, chx tenders etc.). But this time at Acqua e Farina, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try the Pollo alla Parmigiana — and I’m SO glad I did!

It was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor with just the right balance of sauce and cheese. Everything tasted fresh and high quality, and you can really tell they put care into every dish.

We came in with a large party and the service was still outstanding. Our waiter, Roberto, was amazing — very knowledgeable about the entire menu and gave great recommendations. He also took the time to tell us about their brunch options and different offerings throughout the day, which we’re definitely planning to come back for!

The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, perfect for celebrations or family dinners. As someone who doesn’t easily branch out with food, this place completely impressed me.

Highly recommend — even for picky eaters like me! We’ll definitely be back.

What a surprise find in Chula Vista! A great place for family dinner or celebration. We had to try the “cheese wheel” pasta dish and it did not disappoint! No need to go to Little Italy with this local place – easy parking, varied menu, and great food.

Friendly server and staff. Great tasting food! Butter-flavored vegetables. Bruschetta had prosciutto and sweet jam-like tomatoes which added a nice touch. Nice calamari appetizer also included shrimp and some battered vegetables. Market price t-bone steak arrived sizzling on unique hot iron skillet. Perfectly seasoned and prepared medium and kept warm on skillet.

Had a really positive experience tonight while celebrating a family birthday. I think it’s cool that the people behind Farmer’s Table are switching over the restaurant for dinner service, putting out high-quality handmade pasta.

Portions are pretty generous, except with filled pastas, but that’s totally normal and expected.

Service was friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive. I wasn’t happy with my initial dish for a couple different reasons, and a manager handled it as graciously as I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant. She maintained a nondefensive, open attitude, brought me a new plate (which was perfect), and checked in again later.

I think that no restaurant is perfect, and the way restaurants handle imperfections can make or break an overall dining-out event. Thankfully, tonight, the people at Acqua e Farina were spot-on. Would def recommend if you’re in the area and in the mood for delicious pasta.

Hidden gem! You don’t have to go to Italy for the viral cheese wheel pasta dish. It’s here in Chula Vista. Very good pasta. Friendly service. Reasonable wine prices.
