Acorn Community Cafe is divine. This has become a must-stop on trip through Eugene. We’ve had the biscuits and gravy, BBQ soy curl sandwich, gnocchi, banana’s foster, cocktails, and espresso. I’d highly recommend all of it. It’s a pretty small place so I imagine it can get full quickly, but we’ve had good luck so far. Incredibly cozy and makes me feel like I’m at a friend’s house. Prices are also surprisingly reasonable!

I love this restaurant. I come about once a month to try their rotating menu of all vegan foods. Whenever someone visits from out of town, I take them here, and they’re always impressed and happy. The food is fresh and flavorful and the people who work there are patient and helpful and I can’t leave in a bad mood. They’ve got a different policy where they don’t accept tips (they pay their staff full wages), but they do take “pay it forward” amounts that they pool up and use to provide free food to the unhoused. My favorite dish is usually the vegetable hash, which changes each season. My wife loves the corn fettuccine and the waffles. We both usually get the orange juice too, which has other fruit juices mixed in (often mango).

The only detractor is that it’s quite popular and can get very busy, and in those situations, the food can take quite a while to come out (most dishes are made fresh). We just make sure we’re not super hungry when we go, and if we are, we’ll eat elsewhere if it’s busy.

It was a little bit confusing, trying to make a reservation, we played phone tag back-and-forth, but we were able to go in early on a Saturday morning and get a seat for seven saved in queue.
The coffee was delicious. I had the pumpkin breve.
The food was delicious. I had the biscuits and mushrooms gravy with forged mushrooms on top. The serving side was generous. I couldn’t finish my plate.
My daughter loved the Apple pancakes. Don’t be fooled by the picture. She didn’t wanna smile
Was a great place for a family brunch, my family was traveling , driving through town from up north , so we met for annual brunch at 11:45
The patio is cute and aesthetic for photos
The price was very fair for seven people to eat .
Definitely recommend checking it out! Amazing options for vegans and vegetarians

Servers were chipper and kind, one server (cute curly haired) even volunteered to take a photo for us ✨ ✨

Thank you everyone happy holidays

Lovely lunch! I love this patio. The food is delicious and nourishing. The vibe is casual but also quite romantic. The Spring Potato Hash was perfectly cooked with tasty charred onions and greens topped with a tasty dill sauce. The herbs in the sauce and soup were really just complimentary flavors, just the right amount. Also enjoyed Carrot Soup and a very delicious flaky biscuit.

Acorn is an ideal place to meetup with friends. Looks like a they have great cocktails and wine too!

So this was a strange trip, my friend and I needed to find a vegan restaurant to meet her dietary needs and we had never tried this place, there were so many things we absolutely loved, like the ‘no gratuity’ because they pay their staff a living wage and will take extra to pay it forward to those who cannot afford food instead. The atmosphere was comfortable, the staff were friendly, the outdoor seating area was beautiful, the waffles we got were delicious, but it was all tainted by the fact that we came in at the absolute wrong time. We ordered at 11:30 am on a Saturday when the restaurant was busy, and didn’t get our food until 12:30 pm. It was absolutely insane, I’ve never had to wait that long for a meal and there were no “oh, so sorry, we have an emergency in back” or the like so I’m assuming this is their norm for busy times. A mother daughter sat next to us toward the end of our visit when the crowds had left and ordered a shepherd’s pie (plus another dish I can’t recall) that came out in 10-15 minutes so I’m not sure if they just can’t make waffles, if they lost our order for 45 minutes then found it again, or if they just took that long with everyone who came in at their busy time. Anyway, I’d love to try more of their dishes but I’ll be super careful to go when they are not busy.

Very charming spot with a lovely atmosphere! Food is flavorful, healthy, and reasonably priced. I love that you can order breakfast any time of day! We only waited about 20 minutes for our order even on a busy Saturday. Overall this is a super special cafe and it’s a wonderful contribution to the local culture. We will definitely be back and this is now where I plan to bring any visitors to Eugene!

Delicious vegan food that leaves you satiated and happy. So reasonably priced, too!

I am not a mushroom lover, but their biscuits and mushroom gravy was absolutely delightful.

Their seasonal (Autumn) hash so flavorful and perfectly seasoned was as if I was eating fall itself.

There are lots of other options that make it feel like a home cooked meal. And the service was fantastic! Very accomodating to an allergy in our group and super friendly!

Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been to Acorn Cafe twice now and somehow I forgot how amazing the food is. We had the biscuits & gravy, pasta alla vodka, the veggie hash, and a pumpkin muffin. Everything was plated thoughtfully, seasoned perfecting, and was so filling. They have an extremely talented chef back there. By far the tastiest & cutest vegan joint in Eugene.

I love the idea behind this space and their desire to feed those who don’t have access to quality food (or food at all). They are all VEGAN all the time, which is great, being a vegan myself. If the food seems at all expensive, don’t forget, they don’t accept tips and they do a lot for the community so the cost is reasonable if you take that into account.
I enjoyed the Pasta Alla Vodka, but the Oven Roasted Gnocchi left something to be desired (maybe needed a bit more salt, and the texture seemed off), but the pesto was on point.
The staff were friendly and the food arrived promptly.
I expect we will be back to try some of their other options.
