Friend and I went for dinner the Saturday before Memorial Day after hiking up San Gorgonio, and on our way to Indio. We arrived at 6:45pm and it took us a good 20 minutes to order and get seated. The place is very popular and not a lot of tables inside. We each had our own chile relleno and enchilada combo. He also had the fish taco, while I had the veggie quesadillas. I liked the combo, though I was expecting to get the two items separately. The quesadillas made for a good lunch the next day at a hotel with a microwave. We also had horchatas, and the house chips+salsa, which were both delicious. Total including tips and taxes came to around 55-60$, which is pretty cheap considering that we had leftovers for next day’s lunch. Staff is friendly, and restroom is clean. Plenty of parking outside, and it’s easy to get to, right on Bryant Street.

Small little place hidden in the back of parking lot. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in a while! A very pleasant and enjoyable evening with excellent food! I will definitely put this on my list to visit every week

My favorite Mexican spot. Everything I’ve tried is delicious, and everyone I’ve taken there loves it. The employees are so nice, and the soda is also always excellent. My family and I literally go there at least once a week and bring home a large salsa. I really can’t say enough good things about this spot. We’ve been going for years, and it hasn’t once disappointed. I wish more places could have this level of quality, consistency, and customer service.

Acocotli Mexican restaurant on Bryant Street in Yucaipa California serves great tasting ,freshly made Mexican food for lunch or dinner in a relaxing and sparkling clean restaurant-dine in or take out!
Acocotli serves traditional favorites such as-enchiladas,tacos,burritos,chile rellenos, including tasty chicken, beef, pork, fresh fish or shrimp!
We had their really tasty chile relleno and enchilada with chicken plate that comes with the best tasting home made refried beans and lite and fluffy Mexican rice! We also tried their taco salad in a fresh flour tortilla bowl, tasty ground beef, crispy salad greens, shredded cheese and home made guacamole! The portions are generous and are fairly priced for the quality and flavor!
Acocotli has great tasting fresh salsas and their super tasty (and hot ! ) Yuma salsa is terrific!
We will be trying their fajitas next time we visit because it’s one of Acocotlis specialty dishes! We highly recommend a visit to Acocotlis if you like great tasting Mexican food served by friendly servers!

Been here a few times now. When I’m in town. The first time I got the Carne Asada fries. They were good. I remember seeing that they do it a little different. The quality was noticeably better than the average place.

Today, I wanted to try the burrito. The ‘garbage’ burrito was suggested. Don’t be fooled by the name. It was tantalizing and had my mouth watering for more. Very fresh flavor and nicely blended ingredients.

I might start coming here more often even though I’m far away.

It cost me $30 to write this review, aside from chips and guac me and my gf threw all our food away. Going here was a waste of time and money, the only good thing that could come from my wasted time and money is you reading this review and heeding my warning. Avoid this place if you want real Mexican food cause this is not real Mexican food. It doesn’t even taste like Mexican food. Straight up taste like taco bell. Shredded beef was too salty and had no flavor other than salt. Salsa was trash and bitter. I wish I would have just gone across the street to staters and grabbed some frozen burritos.

This review took place within two weeks of the opening, so some details may change over time. The location is not very visible, requiring some searching through the parking lot. Also, the space is not very big, holding about 50 people. The floors, counters, and tables were sparkling clean. Oddly, there is nothing preset on the tables: No salt & pepper, no napkins, no silverware. The wooden chairs are hard and I found them uncomfortable. The wait staff seemed a bit disorganized during my visit but, once responsibility for my table was established, the older female waitress was very attentive. The chips are home made and very good, not greasy. The salsa is tasty and not too spicy. I expressed my disappointment about not finding Chili Colorado on the menu and my waitress stated that other diners had asked for it to be added. She suggested the shredded beef burrito, so I ordered it. I added rice, beans, and red sauce as a package, which I found a little pricey at $4.50 additional. The burrito was ample, well-seasoned, and nice & warm. The beans were a little too runny for my palette. The rice was perfect. Although the beverage station is self-serve, my waitress delivered and refilled my Fanta Orange. Overall, this new (at time of writing) restaurant is a nice addition to the neighborhood. I recommend it.
