My husband and I have heard such good things about this restaurant that we wanted to try it. When we walked in, the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. We were greeted by Winn, our server, who was very knowledgeable about the food and gave suggestions of customer favorites. My husband ordered the lamb and chicken shawarma and I ordered the chicken kabobs. We were told the kabobs took longer to prepare, but they didn’t really take that much longer than my husband’s dish. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious! Our server kept our glasses filled and made sure everything was good. I ordered a side of falafel, which was crispy and just spicy enough. I loved it. We chose baklava served warm and drìzzled with honey for dessert. I’m pretty sure the philo dough was homemade. It was just fantastic! We both just really enjoyed our meals! I’m not sure how to say this; I enjoy food, but I don’t usually FEEL it. This food just felt comforting and satisfying. We left knowing we’d be back…and soon!

I was finally able to try Achillies and the food was so good! I have never had a gyro and got the gyro plate. It was a great first experience! We will definitely be back!

FINALLY tried the newly reopened Achilles and I was NOT disappointed.
I will die on the hill that their grilled chicken is the BEST restaurant grilled chicken EVER! I said that when they were in Sparta and nothing has changed
It is so juicy and bursting (literally bursting) with flavor. It is so tender and delicious.
Their fried squash is also really good. Hot, so be careful but once you get a little taste you will eat that thing up like a hot pizza roll blowing out heat for a minute straight (iykyk) so full of flavor!
The service was good, and honesty the whistle stop cafe building is the perfect home for them.
I want to try more from them but I always gravitate to that dang chicken
The only opportunity is that their tzatziki dip doesn’t have enough dill. It is a tad bland.
I got my mom of piece of the baklava and she said it was super delicious.
My bf got the gyro and said it was one of the best ones he’s ever had.
We will DEFINITELY be back!

Food is very good. Gyros, catfish and cheeseburgers are great. Also love the crinkle fries. We frequented this restaurant while it was in Sparta where we live.
We don’t get there as often now that they moved to Baxter, but we do make the drive occasionally.

Best burger I’ve ever had in my entire life, hands down. The Greek food is so yummy too. I love the Gyro plate and my husband really enjoys the Falafel. The pricing is also super reasonable!

We ordered takeout thru Doos Dash. The food was delicious! My son loves Greek cuisine and he was pleased. We will definitely eat there again. My only “surprise” was the up-charge from Door Dash for taking the order which we picked up. Next time I will phone in the order and save that extra charge.

Same great food that Achilles had in Sparta is now in Baxter. Had excellent service, Restaurant is nice and open. Try the Philly Cheesesteak excellent. You won’t be disappointed with anything on the menu.

This is a nice restaurant, serving amazing gyros at very reasonable prices! We drive from Cookeville to Baxter regularly to eat here. It is definitely worth a stop and I promise you will leave with a full belly and your wallet won’t be empty!

It’s a big step up. Had one of the best banana crepes I’ve ever had. They also have really good fried okra. Their expansive menu of delicious food is more than sufficient to feed a growing town, and I hope that the people of Baxter know how lucky they are to have this place.
