The Achilles chicken was slightly overcooked but other than that everything was excellent. I’d recommend the shawarma if getting chicken. The tzatziki was very traditional and some of the best I’ve ever had. Spicy sauce could be spicier. Amazing flavor all around.

New to town and only been twice so far. Staff is polite.. i had so many questions the first time and they were patient. Packed orders in a safe way to ride home on the scooters. Vegan options (and well labeled) The windows are tinted so night it looks closed.. if the open sign is on, they are open. Quick service and really the best Falafel pita i have ever had.

Achilles is a casual Mediterranean restaurant not far from Westfield Valley Fair. 4.6 on Yelp and Google. We were nearby and tried it. Nothing wrong with this restaurant if you are within a couple blocks, just not a foodie find worth a longer drive.

Gyro Beef Bowl ($16.99) Greek dish made from seasoned Beef cooked on a vertical rotisserie & sliced, with Hummus and Baba Ghanouj as sides. Good portion size, everything was solid but not exceptional. About what you would expect. I like Hummus Mediterranean better. 7.5/10 – Pita ($1.50) was also average.
Falafel ($3.99 for 4 pieces) A vegetarian dish made from ground chickpeas, mixed with herbs and spices were heart shaped and fresh out of the fryer. This was done well. 9/10

This shawarma wrap wasn’t really my style. I felt the strong flavors from the sauce and other fillings, despite my light choices, completely masked the taste of the chicken. The chicken was also quite bland on its own. Others might enjoy it, but it didn’t hit the mark for me, still not bad. I could eat again if I’m around and need to fill my stomach

Food and service were absolutely amazing! The Achilles Chicken plate was perfectly seasoned and came with a very generous portion – great value for the price. Falafel came out still hot and fresh. All of the staff working there were extremely friendly and professional. It was my first time there and they were very welcoming. I’ll be back for more!

Ordered a combo wrap (achilles chicken, gyro beef) + waffle fries. The meat was marinated well and tender and the veggie toppings were fresh.
Service was great 🙂 for our first visit, we received complimentary falafels and sauces.

Had to give Achilles a try with so many reviews.
Dee greeted us and was extremely friendly.
The 3 of us ordered:
-beef plate
-chicken plate
-beef wrap
Food was good. Flavors were nice. Dee gave us each a falafel to try. After going another 2-3 times, I do wish the beef (not sure if its the same as the chicken) was hotter. At times, it seemed almost cold.
Outside seating only.
4% surcharge for non-cash payments which is a bit of a bummer.
Parking is limited in the lot, otherwise, street parking.

After seeing so much hype about this place, I had to try it out! The heart-shaped falafels are super cute and they fry them fresh when you order! The texture is honestly just okay though. Each falafel is dense, and not very crispy or fluffy. The flavor is overall nutty and delicious with rice. Next time I’ll try it in the wrap!
Everything is complimentary with your dish, but I do notice that they tend to be a bit inconsistent with their portions. For example, my rice plate had much more hummus than my boyfriend’s rice plate.
My favorite was the Achilles Spread! I can see why it’s their house specialty. It’s very creamy, fluffy, and tangy. A hint of garlicky flavor in there too. Very delicious. The hummus was also really delicious, but it tastes strongly of citrus. Pretty sour… but in a good way. Not your typical hummus.
We also ordered some waffle fries (a bit expensive for $5), but they fry them fresh when you order too!
PRO TIP: Dip your waffle fries in the hummus! Sounds strange… but it was strangely addicting.
Since this is a TAKEOUT ONLY spot, we took our food and had a picnic at Henry Schmidt Park down the street. It was a great date idea 🙂

Great place to grab a bite to eat to go or sit at the small patio outside. Good falafel and gyro. The plates are a huge amount of food for the price. Also, the hot sauce that they have is really good and has a nice spice to it.
