Met these folks at a Sams club in Cookville by chance. What lovely people. We were going to try and make it this evening but they close at 8 pm and we will have to do it next time we are out this way. After reading the reviews, 5 stars 5 star’s we are looking fwd to eating there. We will keep you informed! Bon Apatite!

We finally made out to Aces in Smithville, and our search for the best restaurant in Tennessee is over. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was graet and the food was no less then outstanding! Best chicken parm I’ve ever tasted and my grilled grouper meted in my mouth. (My wife stole half of it) Taking the chicken parm home for lunch tomorrow! If you want a break from the hoo hum dining experience we’ve grown accustomed to. Go to Aces !!! ☆☆☆☆☆☆

Holy smokes this place is good. I did not expect to find a restaurant like this in small town Tennessee. I had the blackened salmon with veggies and I think it was the best salmon I’ve ever had. It was cooked to perfection and the sauce it came with was divine. My aunt loves the lasagna, that’s her go to meal. The table beside us got a tomahawk steak and it looked absolutely delicious . The chef walks around the restaurant making sure people are happy with their food and the staff is extremely friendly.
Unfortunately, I’ve heard that this restaurant will be closing at the end of the year. What a shame.

This place, located in a quiet little town, just caught our eye. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful. It’s not everyday that you are invited to go into the kitchen (which was impeccable) to meet the owner and his family. It was such an honor and something we will remember for a long time. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.

Stayed on the lake in Smithville for the weekend and found a gem of a restaurant. Wonderful food and staff.

We had the ribeye steak, grilled flounder and a bottle of red wine. One of the best ribeye steaks I have ever had, cooked to perfection. Ate at one of the best steak houses in the country a few weeks ago and this was better.

Also had the chicken and rice soup….amazing.

Tanner waited on us. Amazing and friendly service.

This is the kind of quality we usually only find when we are traveling in Europe. We need more restaurants like this.

It amazes me that there is a restaurant of this quality in Smithville. Can’t wait to book another weekend trip just to go back to this restaurant.

Spectacular dinner tonight at Ace’s Steak,Seafood & Italian Restaurant in Smithville. It is always worth the short drive from wherever you are!

There was a limited menu this evening for Valentine’s weekend, but still more than enough options that made choosing hard to decide. The giant half lobster tail and petite filet were fantastic. Crab cakes were all killer and no filler with a mustard sauce that’s out of this world. Not pictured is the best chicken and rice soup in middle Tennessee. It is even better than that famous chicken and rice soup from that one place everyone brags about (iykyk). Sticky toffee pudding cake and a crème brûlée cheesecake both had to be ordered, because we are terrible at making decisions. Both were excellent.

This truly is a fantastic restaurant. Not only is the food great, but I can assure you that this is among the cleanest kitchens you will ever find. The back of the house is immaculate.

My wife and I are already planning our next visit.

The atmosphere was quaint and the service was exceptional! I had the salmon dinner and I don’t think I’ve had it any better than here! Outstanding for sure!! My husband had the shrimp and commented several times about how well seasoned it was. We both loved the fresh mixed vegetables because they weren’t overcooked like so many places do. Fabulous dinner for sure!!!

Ace’s is a good restaurant. My wife and I had crab cakes and blackened Snapper. The Snapper was especially delicious. The atmosphere is casual.

Our “Girls Trip 23” was supposed to be in Nashville. Unfortunately, Taylor Smith had Nasville’s lodging sold out. Using Vrbo, we booked a house in Smithville, Tn. (1 1/2 hr from Nashville) One of the best decisions we made for dinner was Ace Restaurant. Although they require a reservation, we were lucky Ms. Margaret was able to get us a table. Wow!! Ace is a gem in Smithville. The atmosphere, staff, and food were phenomenal. Actually, they made us feel like part of their restaurant family. Ryan, our server, was on point. If you’re ever close by Smithville, Tn, reserve a table at Ace Restaurant. All dishes are hand-made daily. Our group had the soup of the day (chicken & rice) pork chop, salmon, Penne Vodka, and jumbo shrimp.

We came with fairly high expectations. ‘The best steak in Middle Tennessee’ we were told. We called and made our reservations.
We showed up and were seated. Then we waited – for water. After about 10 minutes we got our drinks (4 waters, 3 with lemon). I asked about the sauce on the lamb and he was going to check with the kitchen. Another 10 minutes passed, then we got an answer. And ordered our food. We drank our water, ate our bread, and waited. And waited. After an hour and a half (after ordering), our food came. But only after we told the waiter to bring us our check for our soup and salad that we’d eaten. We were not at all happy. An hour and a half we waited. We ordered two ribeyes, and two lamp chops meals.
I will not order the lamb again, and I won’t recommend it. I probably won’t get it anywhere else either. The chef recommended it medium rare. Of the four chops on my plate, one was rare (warm red center with blood on the plate), one was med rare, two were well done. The other plate of lamb was nearly the same. I will never order this again.
The ribeyes: there was no seasoning on them (not even salt or pepper). So if you like just beef flavor, they were great. If you want any seasoning, don’t get these. They were tender and cooked how we asked. The sides were good (asparagus, mixed vegetables, and steak fries).

The price point deserved high quality food AND service. This is NOT fine dining. Reservation required, but no dress code, no tablecloths, no lighting over the tables. It’s one giant open loud room, no tables were cozy or private. The simple chairs are the same as what is at iHop. This is not fine dining, Texas Roadhouse is a little better. The salad and bread was good; fresh coffee was made when I asked: those were the good points. Waiting over an hour and a half is completely unacceptable. That should have been noticed by the staff without us having to say something. Over half the tables were empty, the waitstaff was seen standing and talking so the reason for the wait is not justified by the restaurant being short staffed or busy.
I told the waiter I was not happy with the lamb, and I showed him the piece that was rare and the piece that was well done; the manager then came out and I showed her as well. When we paid the bill, the manager took off my lamb meal. That wasn’t immediately done, it was when we were leaving and had already given our money to pay the bill.
I like to think everyone has a bad day and maybe that’s what happened here, but I’m convinced that wasn’t the case and we surely won’t be back. We were all dissatisfied and disappointed. The hour and a half wait was the tipping point for making this a one star review. Had we gotten an apology or explanation it would have helped.
There are many other places to go for the same price point that offer better service and food.
