New, Grand opening , nearby , and a takeout / takeaway Mexican Mecca so to speak ! I dearly Love small family businesses, all of my family had them so it’s like revisiting another time. I was welcomed, a menu given, no dine-in option , grab n’ go style ok. I had 3 rolled taquitos w/ guac & salsa verde. Hot, tasty, crunchy, nice guaca , & the verde sauce has some spark . Should your time not allow a sit down at El Toro , or a bite at Taco Del Mar or others undiscovered in our first two weeks in Tacoma, here is the place ! The kitchen has the size & capacity to provide food for Big gatherings or events , plz don’t overlook that. Grateful to discover you at my 10 ( Bus stop / Pierce transportation ) , I will see you again soon for some Chile rellenos & more / Oh, I ate it before photographing & they looked fine ✅

I went through the drive-thru and ordered a kids’ burrito as I needed a quick snack while on the road for work. I paid an additional $1.50 for rice, but the first burrito had none at all. I went back around and they made a new one, but even the second one had the rice noticeably skimpy.
The supervisor in the back also had an attitude and told me, “It doesn’t come with rice,” even though I had clearly paid extra for it. The employee at the window was polite and said, “We are making you a new one, you’re getting spoiled today,” but I wasn’t being spoiled—I was simply receiving what I paid for.
While he was courteous, the attitude from the supervisor and the lack of integrity in the situation were disappointing and honestly a bit of a shame. This spot is close to my home but I won’t be going back.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews and I think I still need to warn people.
It’s over priced, the portions are very very small, and everything I got was flavorless. The “guacamole” is the only thing I could really taste – but they need to actually add avocado to it. It’s just big chunks of raw onion, watery verde salsa, pico de gallo and a light glaze of avocado.
It is very clear this establishment is incredibly cheap and won’t even sell people what they’ve paid for.

I like spicy but I am forced to write a review because the salsa is sinfully hot and made me so sick. They must be using some outrageous pepper or extract to achieve this. Super watery salsa and clearly made with unconventional ingredients that nobody around these parts would expect. Food was marginal at best for the money.

Outstanding and delicious!! I ordered a beef and scrambled egg burrito that had the flavor of old Mexico. It was freshly made, well seasoned and so large could only eat 1/3rd. Saved the rest of it in the fridge for later. Fast service and very friendly staff. It doesn’t have a dining spot. There is only a drive through. But that’s no big deal for me. I took my food home. And today (Mother’s Day) one of my daughters and I will order lunch there and go eat it at Point Defiance Park.

No place to sit inside. They do not put napkins in the bag. I pull around and eat in my car. The rolled beef tacos are good. The “guacamole ” is good, but could use more avocado. The soft tacos were bland and tasteless. Gonzalo, the owner is very nice and friendly. I wish for him to succeed, but he needs to make some changes.

I’ve tried twice on them and both times were not even close to good.
I grew up in Southern California with really great Mexican food, so I am not reviewing lightly here.
The chips and “salsa” is STUPID hot. It’s like the hottest water you’ve ever tasted. No flavor and no salsa components. I opened two cans of refried beans at home and mixed in 1/3 of the “salsa” and we still couldn’t eat it. The salsa verde is practically water and the tacos are genuinely flavorless. Last visit, we tried the carne fried and carne burrito and neither of us finished them. Huge let down. Won’t return and again… I hate writing bad reviews, but if you’re looking for good, solid, tasty Mexican fast food, this isn’t it.

When they first opened they were good. But now, tacos barely have anything in them, fish tacos have no fish only small piece of fried batter, pico de gallo is mostly just onions. Overpriced for the small servings you get.

Huge portions. The kids burrito (picture below) is so big i can’t believe any kid would be able to eat it.
Food is great, not sure why the negative reviews say there isn’t flavor. I did not get that at all. I think this is pretty authentic Mexican.

So I’ve came several times since they’ve opened and had pretty good experiences, some meh, but i was giving them grace because they were new. Came again tonight and was totally disappointed!! I noticed the size of items in the past getting smaller, but tonight was ridiculous. I ordered a California burrito add rice and beans which you pay for and the cook must of put 6 beans and a couple flecks of rice in it also the quality of the carne seems different from the past, I also ordered the full size super fries when my daughter took it out I was shocked at how small it was for 16 bucks, id hate to see what the half order is, cause thats what I thought I ordered but when I checked the receipt I did order the full. Then ordered 2 adobado tacos and they were full of large diced onions and little meat. The inconsistencies here are enough for me to move on from here. Paid 40 bucks for a bunch of dissapoiment.
