Bathroom was so clean! And it smelled fresh too. The gas station also had Superman memorabilia. There was also hot food. Corn dogs, pizza, etc. the fresh brewed sweet tea was AMAZING! Plus there is a little Superman thing outside where you can get your picture.

I was in the store after a long trip and happened to overhear something terrible. A woman was talking with one of the workers and was trying to make sure that she didn’t bother the worker in anyway and was trying to apologize to the worker. However, the general manager Melissa Skinner told this lady to get out of her store because they don’t do that there. I am astonished that someone so hateful can be the general manager of this place. I know now to be careful about trying to be kind around that woman. To my shock and horror I have seen this manager at a church I visited before. I am in total disgust with how a person who claims to be Christian can treat someone so hatefully. I also happen to know of the woman she was yelling at from going to school with her kids. I know she has taken in children from abusive homes and is a Christian and try her best to help those that have suffered abuse. This is also a woman who I ran into while she drove a family down to Tennessee after their car broke down on the interstate just next to this gas station. I hope someone looks into how this manager treats the people from the community who do good.

I stop here a lot on my way to work, and I am always greeted by the workers as soon as I walk in. Everyone is super friendly here! I don’t know how the hot food is, because I come here to get gas for the most part. The bathroom is always very clean and the lot and inside is very clean as well.

Management is great. Store is clean and recently remodeled. I don’t visit often since I do not get gas in Illinois. I do like Quiznos and that Abby is attentive to her customers.

Metropolis is our quick getaway spot & my husband loves to play the lottery so we frequently stop at random gas stations for a quick impulse buy. He won there from the first visit so it then becomes a lucky spot for him, gamblers and their thought process are very different lol. The staff is always so friendly at Acee’s & there is a delicious aroma of food being made. It’s a great place for travelers & for the locals as well, it’s always packed. Definitely will see them again in a month or so I’m sure. Try the food, you won’t regret it

BEWARE!! This place has their sign Marquee to say gas is $3.29 a gallon however their gas pumps are marked $3.39 a gallon.
