We’re from northern Nevada. This by far is the best local place to have a meal. My sister is in Beaufort and we went to Charleston. We stoped here on our way back and I’m glad we did!!! I had grilled shrimp and my husband had the grilled fish. It was perfectly cooked! Excellent service!

Just had a great lunch here. The gator bites and grouper sandwich were perfect with a nice side of grits and tea. Would stop by here again next time we’re in the area. The staff was warm and welcoming, and extremely attentive checking in with us repeatedly. A very clean and charming local spot that didn’t treat us badly even though we were obviously not from around here.

I always try to find local restaurants when I travel. My wife and I were passing through South Carolina on the way home and stopped in on a Saturday afternoon about 1:30 in the afternoon. I had the gator bites appetizer and scallops with clam strips lunch special. My wife had the ribeye and potato. Everything was outstanding I could have made a meal of the gator bites alone. Great little local spot I would definitely eat here again when I am passing through.

Quick lunch take out. Fresh fresh fresh. Great service and fantastic food. Flounder and shrimp… The staple of any seafood “roadside” eatery… Perfectly, lightly beaded and cooked. Service was super quick. Highly recommended! “When the food leaves here, it’s yours.”… Amen!

Ace Basin Fish Camp served up some truly delicious seafood — the freshly battered shrimp and even the coleslaw were excellent. The food arrived quickly and tasted fantastic. The only downside was the arrival experience. We came in around 7pm and felt like our presence wasn’t very welcome an hour before closing time, which made the start a bit uncomfortable. Great food overall, but a friendlier greeting would go a long way.

I’ve come here three times, and the pricing is inconsistent, this time the seafood boil was 52$, it’s usually 30$ the gator bites were also saltier than normal. And the gator bite dinner was missing hush puppies as well. The pepsi was good though

The water is very soft and affects the flavor of the dishes, tea, coffee. It took a moment to get used to it. Our server checked on us but had to attend another table of customers who seemed discontent with their order.

Ace Basin Fish Camp is a classic, old-school spot if you’re craving a no-frills seafood meal. The vibe is very casual — you come in, you eat, you go — nothing fancy, but it serves its purpose. Most of the menu leans heavily toward fried seafood, so if that’s what you’re in the mood for, you’ll be happy. I ordered the grilled grouper, which was cooked well but lacked seasoning. However, the loaded baked potato was very good and definitely a highlight of the meal. Overall, it’s a decent place if you’re looking for a simple, traditional fish camp experience.

Food was excellent. I had the 2 shrimp tacos and a baked potato. My son had the 2lbs of crab which came with a choice of side (baked potato) coleslaw and hush puppies. Staff was friendly, when she made it to our table. Dining areas were clean, as were the restrooms. Coming in from out if town, maps tried to drive us a weird way around. Just stay on 17.
