They were not very impressive at all. I’ve never seen red onions on these kind of tacos before. I’ve only seen white onions on tacos. The crazy part was my husband ordered fajitas mexicanas that had white onions on it. The meat portions on the tacos seemed kind of small for $4.50 a taco… When I know I can go else where for tacos and get much more meat for around the same price.
I also said I didn’t want the salsa verde. When I got my plate the salsa verde was on the side, however because of how the salsa was on the rim of the plate salsa spilt on two of the tacos. Which left me not eatting those tacos and sharing the carne asada part of my taco with my husband instead. The tortillas on those tacos were not that great as well.
The chips and salsa were very good. My daughter did enjoy the chicken rings with fries. My husband didn’t really enjoy the fajitas mexicanas expect for the shrimp he would order again.
Our server was very nice. He could work on being more attentive. We didn’t get checked on very much. Didn’t get asked if we needed refills on our drinks we even had to ask our server for more water after my daughter accidentally spilt her water. Which he did help us clean the mess. Made sure we thanked him for that of course.
Would I reccomend this place no. At least not for lunch. Maybe dinner is better, but i’m not gonna risk taking that chance again. At least not this maplewood location.
I came for the food and stayed for the heartburn. The service was top-tier and the beer was cold enough to feel like a hug from a polar bear. The beef chimichangas were delicious, but they definitely chose violence once they hit my stomach. I spent the rest of the night wondering if I was having a spiritual awakening or just world-class acid reflux. High-quality food, high-octane heartburn. 5 stars for the flavor, 1 star for my internal pH balance.
They always include a bag of chips and cup of salsa with my order
Portions are big, price is fair.
My favorite is the shrimp and steak quesadilla fajita. I get an order of that every time.
The portions are bigger if you dine in.
There is a sign in the entrance saying that they are not hiring anymore. While we were sitting and waiting and waiting and waiting for the waiters, I was wondering if the sign is because they have decided to close the place tonight and just forgot to tell us. It sure felt like that. The waiters was nice and kind but had kept us waiting all the time even though the place was quite empty. The food was not up to any reasonable expectation. Most of the plates remained full and we had zero desire to take any leftovers back home.
We learned the lesson, we won’t go there anymore. I wish we had spent our money elsewhere .
Every one working this evening was wonderful! The host was so pleasant, our server always made sure our drinks were full and was so nice!
I’ll definitely be back to the Maplewood location.
Our food was hot and tasted great!
