Aby’s Restaurant opened its doors back in May of 2002 as a pizza place in the center of Matawan. During our first years, we started to introduce some of our traditional Mexican dishes to our customers. Two years later it just felt right to change our menu and our business to a Mexican Restaurant. Not only we received support from our customers, but we also better identified with our roots, traditions, and culture. It was the start of our success of Aby’s Mexican Restaurant as you know it today.

Aby’s is and always will be the best! The food here is fresh, tasty, and made perfect everytime. The chips come out warm, and the salsa actually has the best flavor. The tacos are packed and cooked right, especially the birria, which is worth the trip on its own. The rice and beans are great and go well with everything.

From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The staff greeted us like family, chips and salsa hit the table within 30 seconds. Our server knew the menu inside out and gave spot-on recommendations.

Abys Mexican restaurant is located in Matawan, New Jersey and it is a must-go location if you’re in the area. Our server was Scotty and his service was fantastic. Simply fantastic with also giving his favorite suggestions as well. He was a very nice gentleman and truly cared for his guests to have the best experience possible. All meals come with chips and salsa which is fantastic since an Appetizer is included with your meal. To upgrade the chips and salsa I would suggest adding the guacamole to enhance your taste buds. For my entrées, I ordered the chimichanga which is a deep-fried burrito served with your choice of meat and I chose chicken which was delicious. It’s also covered with cheese and your choice of sauce in which I got the creamy Chipotle sauce which also comes with rice and beans. This meal is to die for and a staple dish when it comes to Abys. A huge shoutout to Elias, Coco, Manny, Aby, and Scotty for allowing us to Dine here tonight. Starving.Schiano rating review 10 out of 10.

Aby’s is the best of the best. No matter what you’re in the mood for – they’ve got it. The vibe, the food, the atmosphere – it’s all so comforting! It’s always fresh, and always delicious. My fiancé and I have come back here time and time again for the family atmosphere.

Always been a fan of here, first time back since they reopened after the fire and the food is just as good as before but the overall environment is even better now. Always was cute in there but the redecorating and open floor concept makes it even nicer. Recommend the flautas they never disappoint
