I called to order, the first thing I said was “is your egusi made with fish” he said no. I said “so you can make me some egusi with no meat?” He said yes! I said “ok I want a large egusi with no meat, no fish, nothing” he said ok. I came to pick it up and I said “I ordered the egusi with no meat” he grabbed my ordered and I paid $18.08. I left the restaurant and started eating my food very happy to have egusi with no meat because I don’t eat meat. I ate a nice amount of the egusi while yelling my daughter it taste funny but thinking it’s still no meat. I got toward the middle and found a large piece of meat. I called and spoke to the restaurant and the person that answered said “you told someone we can make egusi without meat?” Then put the person who took my order on the phone. He says to me “I told you we can make it without meat because I thought you meant the meal that has meat” I said no I meant like vegan or vegetarian he said “bro you didn’t say all that?” I literally made it very clear that I didn’t want egusi if it was make with fish or meat? Why not make sure we are on the same page instead of assuming? Obviously you did not care and are very unprofessional. When I went to get my refund they gave me a refund then tried to argue with me because I had already ate most of the $4 fufu. I would not recommend this place. You can’t understand the customers questions but you understand how to call people bro. Then they said the egusi is made with seafood but the meat I found was clearly beef.

The food is really good. The only reason why I’m giving this place 3 stars is because of their service. The wait is horrible, I waited 2hours for 2 soups and plantain. I really hope they get some help managing this place. This place could be so much better if the waiting was a lot less. Also they don’t answer the phone when you call them.

This was my first time at the restaurant the customer service was great. I ordered the fufu with egusi soup. They gave me extra food for the wait time to cook my food. You can also call ahead to order as well. The food was delicious I will definitely be going back.

I ordered the Fufu and egusi with Fish. SO FREAKING GOOD N DELICIOUS. TASTE FRESH AND IT WAS HOT. I WAITED LIKE 10-15 MINUTES FOR MY FOOD NOT LONG AT ALL. I ENJOYED EVERYTHING ABOUT. I LOVE THE SPICE. THE FLAVOR WAS OUTSTANDING. FRIENDLY STAFF AND HELPFUL.

My order:
Egusi with chicken and smoked Turkey. The meat was tough nothing tender about this… I had to force the meat off with a fork. The Turkey? Forget it, there was no rating this.
Ogbono with chicken and goat had a sour taste to it. The meat….smh, tough, undercooked and the goat same as smoked Turkey, very tough not edible.
To make matters worse, both orders of fufu had hair on the plastic and on the fufu.
I don’t know what the rush was today but it’s needless to say, I requested a refund and I will not order from this place again. Buyer beware.
