We all arrived at the same time and were seated immediately. The restaurant has a lovely decor and holds up to its reputation. The food is superb. Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant off West Taft in Wichita, Kansas has the best chicken enchiladas in the whole town, along with beef, avocado, and Monterey jack cheese. Five different salsas are all 10/10, best Verde salsa I’ve ever tried, fire roasted is amazing, habanero great. Very fast and kind service Raul is a great waiter!

The chips & 3 types of salsa were fantastic. The lunch menu was great. I had never tried an avocado enchilada, I thought it would be avocado but instead it was a processed guacamole. Still it was OK. The Chile relleno was the best! So flavorful & perfectly cooked.

Still one of my favorite places to eat! Great service always and easy to get in and out quickly without the hassle of waiting and hour. You’ll spend a bit more money but it’s worth it because the service is top notch and the food is incredible. The fajitas are to die for. I had to review again cause it just truly never gets old. I could eat there every day!

The service from the waiter was very good and the food was delicious. However, the manager came with a very accusing tone when we asked as to why our meal was a different price than the menu. They charged us for something we did not get and then when the manager came up and we said we didn’t get it, they came to us with a very accusing tone almost as if to say we were stupid and that we just wanted to lower the price.

My husband called ahead to make sure there wouldn’t be any cross contamination (I have severe seafood allergies) and they went above and beyond. Bianca! Specially made my food herself to make my food separately to ensure there was no chance of a reaction from cross contamination! A huge THANK YOU! To the chef’s and to Bianca! The food was AMAZING! The service was AMAZING! We were seated quickly and our server was great! He was very knowledgeable of everything on the menu and was watchful of when we needed refills of if we needed anything at all. The food was delicious! The entire experience was great will 100% definitely go back and recommend anyone wanting a great meal, friendly and inviting staff and atmosphere and great attentive service then Abuelo’s is the place to go!!!!!
