Came here for dinner as my husband absolutely loves this place. Reading some reviews prior saying how they didn’t like the change of the fry sauce and didn’t like the change of the buns…I see nothing wrong it. The fry sauce tastes great and love how pillowy the buns are.

I’ve always had a soft spot for this place because of its history and the traditions it’s built over the years. The food is still good overall, and the service hasn’t slipped, which I appreciate.
That said, I was disappointed to find out they recently changed their fry sauce recipe. For a restaurant that prides itself on tradition, changing their signature fry sauce feels like a step away from what made them special in the first place. The new sauce isn’t bad, but it’s just not the same—and it doesn’t live up to the classic flavor that longtime customers expect.
I’ll still come back, but I really hope they reconsider and bring back the original fry sauce that helped define them. Sometimes tradition is worth sticking to.

Amazing first time at Ab’s!! The food was great! The atmosphere was very good! The place was clean. The service was ABsolutely amazing! Thank’s Ethan Liefting for the recommendation! This place is about an hour from our house but we were in the area so we tried it and it was well worth it. Also the prices were very fair.

Would’ve given this place a 5 star for years prior. 1 star now because of the original fry sauce recipe has been changed it is no longer good. Grew up going to this place and have traveled to it just to eat there even tho now living from afar. After this fry sauce change I will no longer be making the drive. No longer worth it.

We have been coming to Abs for years and the quality was always great. But they have changed the taste of the fry sauce which makes the fries taste weird. The buns are different too. Just not the same. Probably won’t be coming back.

I can’t believe this place is in business. The food was not good at all and way over priced. The staff is rude and EXTREMELY slow. There was only one car ahead of me in the drive through and they made me wait 8 minutes before I even was able to order at the drive through. Once I paid I waited an additional 16 minutes until they gave me the food with cold fries that were so old they formed a solid ball in the container. The burgers were cold and small with balls of grissel in the meat patty. You have to pay for fry sauce even after paying $35 for 2 combo meals. I ordered 3 fry sauce and only got 2 when they are 50cents each. I got no napkins, no straws for my drinks. This place doesn’t care at all that the customers wait ridiculous amounts of time for terrible food and worst service.

Bought a couple of Fat Boys and some fries and onion rings and took em over to my dads for dinner, and we both ended up getting extremely sick. It’s been years since I’ve had Ab’s, and it will be years until I have them again. Very disappointed that a local place has less quality control than a chain.

Got cheeseburgers, fries and shakes. They were all really, really good. The price point is honestly, really affordable. I didn’t mind the “small” burgers. I mean, for $4-$5 burgers, they were perfect. If you need some massive burger, maybe this isn’t the place for you. I rarely ever get burgers cuz they are too much or too big. And the shakes! Oh my god the shakes were amazing. One size, $5, totally worth it. Also, I love that they don’t just put tomatoes on everything. As someone who doesn’t like tomatoes, it was nice to not have to be thy person. If you know, you know.
