Food was sensational! Grilled chicken sandwich was best we’ve had. Chicken salad had amazing flavors and potato salad was yummy too! (Both heavy on pepper.) Margarita pizza top notch, thin crust.

A quick Yelp search while in the area led us here. It was a good find for sure.
Loved that even on cold days, there is a closed-in patio that allows pups! Our pup travels everywhere with us, so finding these spots is important to us. It was very spacious too – so we weren’t on top of other guests.
They have an extensive menu and the same with the beer list. There is something for everyone, from hoppy IPAs to fruity sours. Not sure which beer you may like – get a sample. Or try a flight!
For lunch, we got the deviled eggs to start – something that is a go-to for us. They were solid and enjoyable. For the main, we opted for the Abridged burger and the Chicken club. Both were solid as well. Fries were crispy, but a bit over-salted, and I enjoy some salt. So made a note for next time to “go light”.
Service was good too.
Overall – really only a tiny detail to ‘complain’ about, but easily taken care of next time. We will be back for sure – I want to try their pizza!

Phenomenal food-devils eggs, the HQ pizza and cookie butter cream brûlée are top notch.
Aidan was our server and he is amazing. Prompt service, always smiling and great to chat with. (Give this man a raise!!)
Atmosphere is chill-from the music to sitting out in the sunshine relaxing on the patio.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place has a loyal following—it’s loud, lively, and often packed. If you prefer a more manageable noise level, do yourself a favor and book a reservation in the dining wing. It’s still energetic, but you can actually hear the person across from you.
The service team deserves real credit. They move with purpose, know the menu, and never leave you waiting. Even better, Abridged offers multiple mocktails and non‑alcoholic beers—something many breweries overlook entirely. It’s refreshing to feel included rather than accommodated.
Now, the food. This is where Abridged truly shines. We were so impressed on our first visit that we returned the very next week.

– Pot Roast Nachos
– Signature Burger
– NA Beer
The nachos alone could convert anyone into a regular—rich, hearty, and unexpectedly refined. The burger was equally impressive, balanced and beautifully executed.

– Meatball Pizza
– Mocktail + NA Beer
The consistency was remarkable. Those nachos were just as spectacular the second time, and the pizza was a standout in its own right—comforting, flavorful, and clearly crafted with intention.
Abridged has quickly become one of our favorite new spots, and we’re already planning our next visit. There’s so much more on the menu calling our names, and if our first two experiences are any indication, we’re in for a treat.

The deviled eggs are absolutely a must get, the golden bbq sauce, pastrami, and fried onions is a new twist on a classic and it absolutely ignites the flavor! The cheese burger was cooked perfectly medium, juicy, packed with flavor and hits every spot when you have a taste for a great burger! 10/10

I got a burger, no complaints and AI enjoyed the fries. Another person in my party said the fried crispy chicken sandwich was excellent and one of the best they’ve ever had. High marks there. The deviled eggs also got a great review.
If you like funky beers, the PB&J beer legitimacy tastes like a PB&J. A good novelty.
Also, small detail, but the large booths have room to get out on both sides, which is lovely for large parties.

I had a great lunch experience at Abridged Beer Company! Great atmosphere with lots of seating options and super nice employees! We visited on a weekday during lunch. It was busy, but that didn’t affect our experience at all! Our server was very attentive and friendly. Our food was cooked to perfection and came out in a timely manner. I highly recommend Abridged Beer Company and look forward to dining here again soon!

We order pretzels and cheese, fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs for appetizers. The ones I ate were delicious!
I ordered a cheeseburger with cheddar cheese and my husband ordered an abridged burger. The burgers were perfectly cooked and tasty.
We had not been to this new location before and it’s much closer to our house than the south Knoxville location we liked when we ate there. We were glad the food is just as tasty. We will definitely be back.

1st time visit, and did not know what to expect. Sat at the bar and had really good service. Beer was very cold and tasty. Had a signature cheeseburger with fries and would return for the fries alone. Great seasoning leading to a wonderful flavor. Burger we cooked to medium and was excellent! Loads of TVs with multiple sports options too.
Will be back on my next visit to Knoxville!
