Abo’s founder Steve Abo was learning the craft of Neopolitan-style pizza making in New York, he apprenticed in a restaurant owned by Rocky Graziano. Then he brought his pizza mojo out West and when he opened the first Abo’s store on The Hill in 1977, Abo fashioned his proprietary sauce on the The Rock’s family recipe. The dough is made daily, formulated for the classic Neopolitan thin-but-pliable crust, rustically bubbly with chewy cheese that stays on the pie. Fresh comes first at Abo’s. If you’re traveling from the east coast and you need pizza, this spot satisfied my craving. It’s good mom & pop shop pizza. The sauce isn’t too sweet. It’s just right.
If you are a NY/NJ/Philly guy traveling to Denver, this place hits right. They also have some arcade machines which reminds me of pizza shops that I grew up with in Staten Island. Grab a slice and play Pacman or Galaga.

This pizza is so bland I started to wonder if something was wrong with me. But no, it’s just how it was. It’s like low-sodium old folks home food… it wasn’t bad, it just had so little flavor I wouldn’t know it was a pizza if I closed my eyes.

I’m pretty impressed with Abo’s pizza. We have a picky family of 6 and everybody was satisfied! Most importantly though, the customer service was great with a warm and inviting atmosphere. I will continue to order from Abo’s pizza. I also want to thank you for not price gouging like another nearby pizza place. They tried charging us $14 for 7 wings! Ridiculous! Their extreme overcharging forced me to look elsewhere and I’m so glad I did!

Had one gentleman by the name of Kevin that knew he made a mistake on the order and offered to make it right by making me a pizza the next day, knowing that he forgot to include it in my order and then I have the manager Brandy that is not willing to make it right and said that I have to go through GrubHub to get my pizza replaced the day after. I don’t think this is very good customer service, especially when you have an employee that takes ownership of making the mistake which I honor him for that, but to not be willing to make a large pizza knowing that they got paid for a large pizza wants me to go to GrubHub to get my pizza and Brandi just could care less

They are very consistent with their recipe for pizza and the sauce is perfect.

Just had Abbo’s Pizza and it did not disappoint. Not too much oil, which tells me they’re using quality cheese. Barely any flop and the crunch was spot on—exactly how a pizza should be. The sauce? Straight-up reminded me of classic East Coast pizza. Flavorful, balanced, and nostalgic. 9.2/10 recommend if you’re craving a real pie.
