I recently visited Abondanza Italian Deli and was blown away by the exceptional quality and authentic experience! The deli offers an impressive selection of high-quality meats, sliced fresh to order, with each bite bursting with rich, savory flavor. The cheeses were just as wonderful! The freshly baked bread was a perfect complement—crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, making every sandwich a delight.
The staff was incredibly hard-working and genuinely dedicated to ensuring a positive experience. Their enthusiasm for the food and warm hospitality made me feel like a valued guest. Beyond the meats and bread, the store’s selection of imported Italian pastas and delectable cookies added a special touch, perfect for recreating an authentic Italian meal at home. Abondanza Italian Deli is a gem that combines top-notch ingredients with heartfelt service—I’ll definitely be back for more!

It’s our go to place when we visit Venice. Family owned and operated with all the homemade breads pasta dishes, meats, desserts and the best deli sandwiches.
The Italian Beef is a must, dipped in the juices!! The husband’s favorite along with a cannoli!

Native Chicagoan craving a classic Italian sub. Got the 6” Angelina with giardiniera. Well built sandwich with the perfect combination of meat, cheese, toppings, seasonings and oil. Roll held together well with just the right amount of tug to ensure that each and every bite was fully appreciated and totally satisfying.

I visited here after seeing photos online of some menu items. The store has an authentic Italian feel. The shelves are stocked with some items that appear to be Italian imports. It has a true deli feel. I tried the tiramisu after hearing raving things as well as the Angelina I saw pictured. I enjoyed the flavor of the sub but found the bread to be enough to not want to order a sandwich here again. It is very tough which for the demographic of this area I would not suggest to the majority of the elders in the town. I was excited about the tiramisu. I don’t believe in my opinion it lived up to the hype however it seems may other love this so I would say even though it doesn’t suit my palette it appears it surely hits the spots for other so give it a try! For a cake slice and 6” sub I paid $20.

I love authenticity. Abondanza’s nails it. A small deli that reminded me of the small eateries scattered around the country. I stood quiet, and just took in the site, making it feel like I was back in time. The food is excellent and why peoole go to fast food takeout when you have wholesome offerings like this, Ill never know. Excellent staff and my only regret was waiting so long to check this place out. Ben fatto!!!

One of Venice‘s absolute hidden gems! Abadanza’s Is nestled in a remodeled gas station. So if you’re driving too fast, you might just think it’s a gas station with no pumps. But if you pump your brakes, you’ll get a taste one of the best meatballs that you’ve ever had in your life. Now, if you love your mother‘s meatballs, and you don’t wanna get her feelings, hurt, don’t taste the meatball! It will ruin your perception of what you thought of. Great meatball was! I don’t know if it’s the veal, the flavor, how they cook it, or the love that they put into it, but this place has mastered it!
And I’ll tell you something else, tiramisu never did it for me. I’m not the kind of guy that looks at the menu and says “I’ll have the tiramisu” but I’m glad that I gave it a chance at this place. This is the number one tiramisu in Venice And that I’ve personally ever tasted!
Also, I’ve been all around Chicago in the Midwest and had Italian beefs, but they nailed that too! The right amount of meat, flavor, peppers, and all you or whatever they call that Juice On the perfect role too.
Anyway, I’m starting to sound like a paid Promotion guy. I just love this place to death. The food is fantastic, it has a great quaint authentic feel to it, the owner is Franky and Susan are great and Rino is always in the back whipping up something perfect to eat! You don’t just come here for a bite to eat you come here to be amongst friends and smile before you eat. With America’s dining at the dinner table lesson less, the least you can do is go to a place that feels like family before you eat your food so it taste better lol.
Do yourself a favor and pop in and tell em Mine said try the meatballs…and out some Parmesan on it too!

Stopped in and should have been warned that it was empty at 12:30pm on a Wednesday. Order the Angelina grinder and it was horrible. The bread was overly hard and dense. Mostly ham with a paper thin slice of the better meats listed on the board. This used to be a gas station unfortunately the food is worse than gas station food.
