We had over 4 waitresses stop by our table and say they’d be right back. When we went to place an order with one that was walking by she asked us to wait and then proceeded to check out the whole party next to us. 30+ minutes in we decided to move to the bar and received excellent service. We were able to enjoy the rest of our night.

Abigails Oakland has been a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
The atmosphere is friendly, and the food is usually worth every penny, especially with specials every night.
However, when it gets busy, service suffers.
I would admit, though, that it’s probably hard to determine when the busy times comes making scheduling staffing very difficult.
Have some patience, and don’t be afraid to wave the servers down.

Abigail’s has the best bar food in Topeka! This is definitely our go to. My BF and I have tried multiple things on the menu. Everything we have had is a large portion, decent priced and has good flavor. The service is fast and friendly. We are able to enjoy a few drinks every time we have amazing food.

After attending a few times, the waitress has our drink order memorized. Now, when she sees us walk in, she brings our drinks to the table without us having to order them. She remembers the little details, like I do not like croutons on my salad. She always checks on us. Refills our water and tea when it is low. The food is great. Fast out of the kitchen and always hot. Lots of TVs to watch, pool tables are in good shape. Other games are available to play. Parking is a little tight on busy nights.

The food is absolutely worth stopping by this bar! I’ve been there for dinner and breakfast, and it’s all super delicious! The service is super good but takes a little bit of time for food, which is okay with me because the food is worth waiting for. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!
