I thought the Reubens were great. I was charged $8 for a margarita on Wednesday even after pointing out the sign so I left confused. Our waitress told us we were confused with the color blocking for the signage and margaritas are $5 on Tuesday only but I think their sign out front taken as I left proves otherwise. Verify all specials and daily drink prices and you should be good. Still left an ugly taste in my mouth that made me forget about the Reuben.

I’m on a hunt for the best BLT in Kansas. Today’s stop was Abigail’s in Topeka. At first impression this place looks like your typical Bar and Grill and luckily I was able to get in around 11:20 am right before lunch rush.
The atmosphere was as expected, a little chilly, dim lighting, standard bar music. As for the Bar staff she was very sweet and polite. I ordered the BLT with Loaded Mashed potatoes on the side and a Dr Pepper.
There was barely a wait, maybe 10-15 minutes. The presentation of the sandwich was well done. The side was also appealing to look at as well. The bread for the BLT was toasted and thinner than most BLTs but it was still tasty. The bacon was slightly less crispy than I prefer but it wasn’t a deal breaker, and the lettuce was tasty and met expectations for sure.
Overall the BLTs Rating was a solid 7.8/10. Nothing to write home about but definitely not a bad sandwich by any means. It’s simply a good tasting lunch, well worth the 14$ I paid for it.

I’ve been here a few times. Awful service every single time. The bartenders are literally awful besides that really tall girl, she’s cool. The wait for food is comical and the wait for beer makes this place feel more like a DMV

Kind of a dive bar and grill. You gotta love these places. The wife’s wings were fantastic. My pork cutlet sandwich was okay. I had to try one since I haven’t seen that sandwich on a menu before. The onion rings were very good.

Picked this for a reasonably priced meal before we headed home from Topeka since it is close to the turnpike. Food was really good! Service was a little slow but it is a bar and it isn’t very big so it wasn’t unexpected. Most of the tables are high tops so we were lucky to get the only low tables for our group. Would probably visit again.

This is a nice little spot to go. They have the best wings in town now. The service is fast and friendly.

Delicious food. Penny is awesome. You don’t want to pass the chance to have great food. Pork tenderloin, French dip, Mac n cheese.

I always get 12 garlic parm smothered wings at Oakland location. They are always 10/10. Today, these are horrible!! So dry and too done, and less sauce than normal.

I regularly order lunch for a group from Abigail’s through their website, and the experience is always excellent. The ordering process is easy, the food is ready on time, and every order has been accurate. Portions are generous, the quality is consistently great, and you can tell they care about what they serve. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making pickup quick and pleasant. Highly recommend Abigail’s for both great food and great service!

This was my second time trying breakfast here. This time I opted for a standard over medium eggs, with bacon , sausage, hashbrowns, with a side of sausage gravy. I really didn’t want to say anything since this was free and took a little while for it to get done. But as you can see the one sausage is pretty black. For my tastes the sausage and bacon had a nice flavor, but for me the bacon is a little salty ( I understand it’s a personal taste). The hashbrowns were about perfect, nice and crispy. The gravy ad a nice flavor too. The eggs were done nicely except pretty crispy around the edges as you can see. The waitress/bartender was pleasant and was working by herself so at times when it got busy she was having try to be attentive to about 20 or so patrons. This breakfast was better than the last one, but I may stick to eating lunch or dinner here. Everything I’ve had then has been really good.
