We asked for John based on other reviews and were not disappointed. Food was good. Ordered the wings, medium with a great bite. Mother and Future wife got the award winning chicken fingers. A tad overcooked. Dad got the steak sandwhich and loved it. Would totally recommend and revisit!

Reasonably priced huge portions of great food in a comfortable casual atmosphere. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. Eating here you feel like a local in comparison to the impersonal chain restaurants. The appetizers here are world class with the potato skins and onion rings being the best I have had anywhere. The ribeye steak was simply prepared, beautifully cooked, and delicious. The shrimp scampi was the only item that was average (just lacking in flavor a bit). Overall highly recommended.

The restaurant staff was very friendly and the service was quick. Their homemade potato chips were very good and a nice change from fries. The chicken tenders were large but dry. The fried haddock sandwich was tasty. Their wings were nicely prepared but very spicy. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was generously sized but I didn’t care for the flavor. Overall, Abenaki Trail was disappointing compared to the reviews. The dining room needs a refresh and the floor, table and chairs were sticky. There is plenty of free parking.

HUGE portion sizes. In the words of our waiter “Yeah, we actually feed people here!”
Staff was super nice, the vibe was great.
Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!

New Restaurant #44! Finally made it here for dinner. Got the pastrami samich on the pretzel roll with fries and coleslaw. Was very pleased with all the food and the prompt, attentive service. Excited to go back and try one of their half pound burgers next time!

Nice laid back atmosphere. I had the Shrimp Fradiavolo and it was great. 6 very large shrimp in a marinara with a nice punch. Served with perfectly done garlic bread. Excellent! My wife had the sautéed sea scallops in white wine and butter. Perfectly cooked. Not overdone. Very fresh. Onion rings as a side were well battered and crispy. Garlic mashed potatoes a must. Very friendly service. Will definitely be back!

We had battered fish and chips, and the grilled salmon. Both were large portions and superbly cooked.
Service was really good and cheerful. We would certainly eat here again.

Outstanding lunch experience there and our server JuJu was wonderful.
Meals were the Pub Burger (large burger complete with all the normal fixings plus a few twists of an onion ring and bacon). Add in a side of very good house made chips and one excellent margarita.
The other was perfectly prepared pastrami on a pretzel bun with a side of the best onion rings that I/we have had anywhere.
Make this restaurant a must stop as we have done when we’re in the area again.

Overall we had a lovely lunch. My husband and granddaughter enjoyed their burgers and fries. I had the lobster roll which was on the bland side. The amount of lobster was very generous and in large chunks but needed salt and pepper and the bun was not toasted. Service was excellent.

I’ve taken my girlfriend here a few times now for a nice bite to eat whenever we’re in New Hampshire. Our server tonight was John P. John’s service was impeccable, absolute perfection. The instant I thought I would need more water, John already had it. The food, always amazing; the steak is immaculate. A perfect sear, beautiful flavor and extremely tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. I was here hours ago and am still raving about it with my partner. We live up in Maine and will easily be making a two hour drive down again soon just to come back. Highly recommend.
