We moved to Charlotte Hall ten years ago and were warmly welcomed to our Abells Diner Bar seats ever since. April, Caitlin, Savanna and Garrett make us feel like family. Best breakfast in MD.

I’m giving the benefit of doubt with this review. I had a group of 4 on World Cup finals weekend, not from the area we clearly had the same idea to go-to the closest diner to the track and eat. well the didn’t work out in our favor. The place is cute, however it’s VERY small maybe 800sqft of eating space, it made the entire situation hard for eating. As mentioned we went on world cup finals drag weekend on a Saturday morning…. It took an 1.5hrs to get our food. The waitress came to our table once in that time frame.

3 of us got French toast platters one with scrapple 2 with sausage
1 pancake platter with sausage
Everything was your average diner food. The sausage I will say was interesting not in a bad way but kinda reminded me of meatballs. The potatoes are delicious imo
About $60 for 4
Overall tho I’m giving the benefit of the doubt because they were slammed being that they are 15mins from the track on a Saturday morning in a small town.

Ordered the quickie. Eggs came out way over done. Waited over ten minutes while the rest of my food got cold for the second eggs that never came. Turns out it got delivered to another table. By this time I didn’t even want my food. I asked them to take out of the bill. All they did was remove the eggs and charge me for the rest of my cold uneaten food. Actually they overcharged us because they took the eggs off of my bf’s food and then charged him a la carte for the rest. This plane is a rip off. And it took 30 minutes to get our food in the first place. What a waste of time and I’m still hungry. Who wants to eat hot eggs with cold evening else? All they has to do was remove what I ordered off the check.

Nice neighborhood diner. Food is great, seems to be a local gathering point and I like that. Felt welcome, and was well fed. The menu pricing won’t break the bank either.
