I’ve had food from Abelardos before at a different location so of course I assumed it would be the same with ordering through Uber Eats- WRONG, disgustingly WRONG.
Ordered the Birria Plate comes with 4 CORN TORTILLAS NOT THIS GIGANTIC FLOUR BURRITO WRAP- no consommé. Watered down Birria cold meat with dried up cilantro and onions thrown on top with a side of old dried up beans.
Next fried tacos were inedible. They were soggy to the point the meat fell out through the bottom when picked up with dried ground beef! No tamale at all, just decided to completely leave that out.
Last the “shredded pork tostada” pork was beyond dry, the ends on some pieces were literally darkening from how dry and old it was, paid for pico- no pico in bag or containers. The verde was mostly water.
The only item that was eaten was the birria plate. Everything else literally made me nauseous just looking at it. Waste of food, time and money!
Enjoy the pictures, quality and care has obviously went down drastically from the last time I ordered about a year and a half ago.
Hope this helps if you are deciding to order from Abelardos or NOT- my recommendation is NOT!
They should be ashamed of themselves to serve their customers food that I am almost POSITIVE they would NOT eat themselves!
I know I will NEVER be ordering from them again!

This place is amazing. The birria burrito is delicious. There is something for everyone, including my extremely picky eater (chicken nuggets and fries). The music had us dancing in our seats, well it was partly the music and partly good food happy wiggles. My family of 5 ate for under $100 and we all took leftovers home. Totally worth it. Support this local restaurant because you’ll be adding it to your favorites after the first stop in. Also, there’s a drive thru for convenience if you’re eating on the go.

Food was okay. Conveniently located and drive thru option was easily accessible and efficient. It was not the greatest but it wasn’t bad. We usually don’t prefer chains over smaller places but this was an instance where we wished we picked a larger chain to stop at. The staff themselves were extremely friendly and are definitely the redeeming quality of the location!! As a vegetarian I wouldn’t say what I got was something I recommend it was kind of bland. Also our order was not completely correct but that’s okay we were running behind

Used to LOVE this place man… what a shame…
Used to come multiple times a week for work, evenings out with the gf as she LOVED the chili verde (read further about that)
MULTIPLE times food has been left out of the bag during the evening shift. I’ve probably fed 5+ people in the back with the stuff they’ve left out of the bag almost every time I go. I should’ve learned by now, I know…
But today is my final straw: they changed the chili verde recipe.
It is now just as disgusting as every other Mexican restaurant in the area. Unfortunately with this, I’m will now not be eating here anymore as between the incompetence of multiple items of my food being missing, and now the ONLY REASON my girlfriend loved this place (and the reason I ignored this for so long) (the chili verde) has been changed.
Thanks for the good food for a few months. Total shame they’re going commercial with the food right as they started expanding now instead of staying true to OG recipes etc.
Was good while it lasted!

Food ordered: 4 fried beef tacos. 1 Ground beef chimichanga with rice & beans. Ordered online through web for order pick up. Order pick up time given 16 min. Picked up at 22 min.. 3 people only tasted the beef tacos – did not eat, tasted. Fried flour shell that was soggy tasted of raw chicken (ordered beef items). Everyone sick. Tested the chimichangas by poking to see if fully cooked and it was also soggy and not fully fried – also test taste on the tortilla wrap of chicken for a beef item also. All 3 people almost immediately sick. Tried to explain to manager. He does not speak English. I was hung up on a15 times! I drive the uneaten food back to the store to show them how it was cooked (soggy, gelatinous guacamole, gelatinous sour cream) raw chicken flavored tortillas that were not fully fried on beef items. The staff chose not to speak English if they can. No help – which is disturbing because this made my family sick from only tasting a small bit of the food! I may get a refund – it is processing because for pick up they still use DoorDash and DoorDash is the actual entity refunding – not the restaurant unfortunately. They took no responsibility and would Not acknowledge the obvious quality of the food being visually unpleasant- let alone they did not taste. Cashier snatched the tacos after seeing them and threw them away before I could say “no” because I thought I may need to take this to clinic if my family was ill when I returned home. All that tasted became ill. 4 hours total trying to resolve and I form the restaurant in Claycomo (no English there) but that they were potentially Still sending food out that would make others ill. I have a video. Unfortunately it won’t let me post it. That sour cream in the photo was gelatinous and did not appear as a normal sour cream, the guacamole was also liquidated gelatinous and did not appear as guacamole. The “fried” shell was not crispy and when poke tested was raw unfried under the very outer layer only yet had large amount of chicken flavor grease!

My daughter and I love coming here for a bite! Always fresh, always delicious! Their side to go of the refried beans is HUUUUUGE! I love their carne asada tacos, she loves their steak quesadillas! They have enough space to sit down and eat, nothing spectacular but comfy and clean. They have three fountain drinks with the orchatta, pineapple, and one more flavor. Plus another selection of bottled drinks and fountain drinks. Give them a try!

Let me start off by saying I’ve been to this location dozens of times. This time however I come through later in the evening I order my usual get home and it was the skimpiest burrito I’ve ever gotten from them. Literally all tortilla with the little sliver of steak in it. I’m not going to spend my hard earned money at establishments that rip you off I just want what I paid for and I paid good money to get probably half the food I should have. I won’t be coming back to this location

Good food. Clean bathroom. Clean lobby/dining room. Edith took my order and was friendly. Big water cup. Raspberry stuffed churros were good – you get 2 for $3. Cool money tree in here too

I just had a delivery and they did not prepare it properly, both the taquitos and carne asada combo plates were smothered with guacamole!
The chips and guacamole came with the chips smothered in cheese and guac, not in separate container, I threw it away because more than half the chips were soggy, I can’t save them and snack on them later.
My wife threw her tacos away she doesn’t like guac.
The only thing that was supposed to have guac and cheese was my burrito which it did not!
I asked for my money back through Uber.
This order cost over 70 bucks with the delivery and they blew it big time!
