Excellent food portions and Horchata! The breakfast burritos are HUGE and worth every penny! Steak Quesadilla, Torta, Tostada’s, & Taquitos are especially delicious for dinner!

The food is very good here. I love that they season the actual chicken. A lot of Mexican restaurants miss this step. They give you multiple salsas with your meal. Price definitely on point for the large food portions. Food is delivered to table. Staff is friendly. We love it!

We’ve been stopping every week hoping that they would be open….and finally today, YAY!!
They have an extensive menu but we only ordered the 2 things that we, as SoCal natives, think all great taco shops should have, rolled tacos and carne asada burritos.
The rolled tacos were legit, just “American” guac, shredded beef and shredded cheese. A+++
The carne asada burrito was another hit. Only steak, guac and pico de gallo wrapped in a big flour tortilla. A+++ They call it a “Classic” carne asada burrito.
On a whim l ordered 1 taco de cabeza. Yes, it had double tortillas but only a couple spoons of beef and cilantro & onion. C+ Waaay over priced @ $4.30 a taco.
The green & red salsa was spicy & fresh. We’ll be back.

What a gem! The food is absolutely delicious. I tried the steak street tacos and it’s the most authentic street tacos I’ve found in Missouri. I also ordered chips and guacamole, the guacamole was a whipped-style guacamole and the portion was very generous. Waited just a little over five minutes in the drive thru which was very reasonable for how fresh the food was. I’ll be back soon to try even more!

Phenomenal food, good prices, appropriate food to cost ratio, excellent hours.
We ordered two horchatas, a super nacho, and a cheese cake chimichanga. We would have ordered more, but felt slightly rushed by the lady at the drive through. Everything was delicious and we felt appropriately priced.
Will definitely be making a habit of going back for more.

They fixed the menu complaint I had in the below review. Thanks! Much better.
We were happy to see a decent addition to the long list of Mexican Restaurants to Jefferson City. Anytime we were craving Mexican food in Columbia, Abelardo’s was the place we stopped for a quick bite Good food, they did a great job on the interior, the restaurant was clean and updated, and a long list of menu items. They still haven’t put their salsa bar in yet, but we were served with several of their varieties. The only negative I have is that their menus were constantly changing with some automation. Leave the menus alone. It was too distracting trying to focus on the menu items.

We had the tuesday special: five tacos for $6.99. We had a choice of chicken or beef, hard or soft shells or a fried shell.They were all very tasty.We decided the chicken was a little better. We’ll be back.

Food is WAY overpriced ! Almost $50 for two overcooked meals . Chicken and beans looked like they were reused from some other day. The young lady in the front was sweet but I won’t be coming back for the food at your prices. Working on getting more customers for less money by controlling waste and getting rid of half of your menu that doesn’t sell and keep prices affordable

My family has loved the Columbia, MO location for years so we were super excited to see the Jeff City location opening.
We’ve been twice and both times the food came out fast, tasted delicious, and the portion sizes are huge.
