Some of the best Mexican food that I have had.
I got the super nachos with steak. But you can get chicken, pork, and ground beef which most places don’t offer.
I also got the Pork Chile Verde burrito which is very spicy with great flavor and California steak ranchero.
The green sauce is the best. Followed by the mild red sauce. I didn’t like the spicy red sauce
They are fast and stay open super late. Am very surprised at the quality of food at a drive thru place.
For so long we have had to deal with Pancho’s in the metro area. But this new place is a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend
Came around just looking to grab some quick street tacos. Ended up ordering 5 street tacos and, despite my better judgment, got some birria tacos too. I stopped coming here a year ago because the quality of the birria had gone downhill, but figured I’d give it another try.
The guy rings me up and gives me a total that felt *way* too high, but I didn’t question it right away. I drive off with my food, only to realize—no dipping sauce for the birria. I *specifically* asked about sauce and he said yes, but now he’s telling me it costs extra? Fine, I ask to see what I was even charged for.
Turns out they rang up 4 tacos and added a separate taco to make 5, instead of using the 5 taco combo that’s listed clearly on their menu for $12.50. They charged me $15 instead. Charged for extra cheese but give you the smallest amount. When I pointed this out, the lady claimed *”we have to do it that way because it’s not in the register.”* Huh? You mean to tell me your own advertised menu pricing doesn’t match what you’re actually charging?
She starts running around with the menu in hand trying to justify it until I said I’d call the Attorney General for deceptive pricing. Suddenly, she takes my receipt (which they *never* offer unless you ask), and hands me a sauce—but not even the right one for birria.
Bottom line: they overcharge, avoid giving receipts, serve low-quality and possibly old food, and their pricing is all over the place. Not worth your time or money. They make sure to squeeze every penny out of you, even if it means skimming or cutting corners.
Old Message
I’ve been to this restaurant several times before, and it used to be quite good. However, on my recent visits, I was disappointed to find that the birria tacos lesser quality and the sauce seemed watered down. It feels like they may have switched cooks or become complacent in their standards. Despite being busy, customers shouldn’t have to lose out on quality for their hard-earned money. When I called to address my concerns, the person I spoke with simply thanked me for letting them know. Initially, I was going to write it off as a loss, but when I mentioned it to a family member, they had experienced the same decline in quality. If the restaurant is going to serve food that’s not up to standard , they should at least take responsibility and replace customers’ orders when they are caught up. I order 4 birria tacos combo and 2 drinks very disappointed.
We ordered the Arizona burrito (wife and I split), chips and queso, a chicken tamale, side of rice, cheese quesadilla kids meal, and a cheesecake chimichanga.
Pros:
Burrito is enough to split, at least to me, unless you’re really hungry or want leftovers.
Queso has a small kick but is tasty with good consistency
Kids meal is affordable, comes with side and Capri sun
Pepsi products (pro for me anyway lol)
Menu variety, tostadas, tortas, burritos, quesadillas, etc.
Cheesecake chimichanga was good, too!
They also offer breakfast!!
Con:
Burrito entrees don’t come with rice or beans, have to be ordered a la carte.
Drive thru was a little long but that’s expected when waiting for fresh food. You can also order inside.
I’ll keep coming back for the fresh food and salsa’s.
If you’re ever in downtown Lees Summit check it out.
My daughter loves the Carnitas Big taco. It is 2 steet taco w guac sauce. Very good… Finish w an Horchata or Mexican coke. Not very expensive
