To start with there were 3 all you can eat fish dinners ordered. There were less then 2 pieces of fish eaten. When asked how it was….we told the lady. She stated rather rudely ” this is the 1st time I’ve ever heard a complaint about it”. There was no discount given. Not even allowing us to just purchase the catfish dinner. Therefore it cost over $68.00 for 3 people to eat less the 2 pieces of fish. I would give it no stars. Although that isn’t possible and still leave a rating. This place “isn’t baby friendly”, their words….. they have no highchairs nor booster seats. To be fair the fried mushrooms where good. Some of the food that was served was straight up sour. The tarter sauce let’s just say they would have been better off serving it from a package. It tasted as if the french fries were cooked the day before and just put in the microwave to be warmed up some. Then the worst part was the fish. All I can say about the fish is if you have the chance to eat anywhere else in the world please do so. It was absolutely horrible! If you can’t eat anywhere else do yourself a favor and just know that starvation has to feel better than the way my family and I have felt since we left there.

They just moved the Swamp Shack to Sattler, TX, and I bet they will do fantastic. Tried the fried alligator today with dirty rice. Both were very authentic cajun fare. The batter was crisp and tasty. The grease is obviously fresh. Dirty rice was tasty and not over-salted like seems to be the norm these days. Can’t wait until they get the gumbo up and going and can’t wait to go back.
