The Good, Bad and the Ugly
We had been hearing a buzz about this restaurant and wanted try it mid-week when it might been not as crowded, we were mistaken. We had 6:15 reservation and arrived promptly and were immediately greeted by the hostess and seated. The menu had so many wonderful dishes to choose from. The service was excellent, and because of allergies, the chef came out to confirm my choices. The ambiance was enjoyable and I saw a lot of various celebratory occasions. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for authentic Italian food. I felt like I was having a meal again in Italy.

My wife and I thought the service and the vibes were fantastic. Every person we interacted with was great. The food was unfortunately pretty mediocre. It was just fine. The crab pasta was something we really were excited about but it was so incredibly bland we had to ask for salt and lemon to doctor it up. The pizza was ok as was the salad, but nothing remarkable.

I’d maybe be back for a drink, but wouldn’t plan to eat there. Much better Italian food in Mount Pleasant and Charleston.

All I have to say is WOW! Our food was absolutely delicious! We really enjoyed our evening at Abbracci. The burrata salad and the arugula salad were amazing! I had the scallops and my husband had the Gorgonzola pizza – both were incredible!! We loved it and will be back. PS – they had a pumpkin spiced bourbon sour special that knocked my socks off!

I have been dying to try this since last fall. Our new home is closer than the last so we opted to visit for my birthday. The ambience is perfect for a date night but also great for happy hour with the girls. The in-house handmade pasta was amazing. I had the tagliatelle with lobster tail. The focaccia as a starter was some of the best i have eaten. Our waitress was so lovely and gave me a birthday card. We will go back!

We recently celebrated my birthday at Abbracci Italian Cuisine & Cocktails after quite a bit of searching for the right place. The ambiance was nice, and we were seated in a separate room with a large table, which felt private at first—even giving the impression we had our own restroom. However, we later realized it was shared with the rest of the restaurant, so we had occasional foot traffic from other guests.

There was a slight delay in getting seated due to the party before us, which wasn’t a big deal. Our waitress introduced herself, and we started browsing the menu. It was a Friday evening—the start of the weekend—but unfortunately, we were told that seafood dishes weren’t available, which cut out nearly half of the menu options.

Service was slow. It took a long time for food to arrive, and even more time between courses. Some guests didn’t order appetizers, so the wait felt even longer for them. One dish arrived with a hair in it, which the kitchen re-cooked, but it still left a bad impression.

Service overall felt below expectations for a restaurant in this price range. Our drinks were often empty and we had to ask for refills or wine to be poured—no one was checking in. When our meals finally came out, servers didn’t know who ordered what, so we had to go back to the menu to sort things out ourselves.

We were a group of 10, and the final bill came out to over $900—even though only 3 of us were drinking alcohol. While the food itself was enjoyable and well-prepared, the experience didn’t quite justify the cost.

I’d say the food is solid, but the service needs to match the pricing. I’d be open to giving it another try and will update this review if my next visit improves.

From when we walked in we knew we were in for a great dinner. The service and attentiveness of the wait staff was spot on. We had muscles and drinks to start with which were all delicious. Our meals then followed and were even better. Dessert topped the evening off. Our server Holly was amazing. They are lucky to have her, she is a great asset to the restaurant. I will definitely be back for more!

Abbracci Italian Cuisine in Mount Pleasant is an absolute standout! We had reservations for 8:00 and showed up 15 minutes early. The restaurant was busy so we went to bar to have cocktails while our table was being prepared. We finally sat down at 8:25 and were greeted with complimentary Prosecco for our delay.

We began with the burrata appetizer, beautifully paired with fresh peaches and vibrant pesto—creamy, sweet, and savory all in one bite. For the main course, the squid ink pasta with crab meat and mussels was nothing short of spectacular. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the seafood fresh and tender, and the flavors wonderfully balanced. Our server, Georgia, provided superior attention to detail throughout the evening—anticipating needs, timing each course flawlessly, and making us feel genuinely welcome. Abbracci nails both the art of Italian cooking and the warmth of true hospitality. We’ll be back soon!

Ordered to go from here recently. Was very disappointed that we were charged $3-5 per item MORE than menu/website pricing which was $12 more overall. Felt that was tacky and the pricing should be updated. Also the portions were very small. It was $75 for 1 tiny burata appetizer and 2 personal size pizzas (see pics). The food was underwhelming and not much ingredients or flavor or portion size for the money. Definitely would not return.

Update after restaurants response… for example, on your website the burata appetizer is $18, I was charged $23 on my receipt. I’m not saying I was necessarily charged more for take out, but I’m saying either I was scammed or you raised your prices and did not update your website.

The entire experience was excellent!
Loved the decor, seated immediately with reservation, drinks came right away. Focaccia Bread was amazing, we shared a Caesar salad../I would get dressing on the side next time. It was large enough to split. the Veal Picatta was equally as amazing. My husband had the grouper and it was delicious as well. We pray this place stays in Mt Pleasant! Hope to eat on their beautiful patio next time!
