This burger joint is a great place for anybody who love burgers! There is a checklist that no only lets you pick your toppings for the burger, but the type of meat you want, how you want it cooked, and what type of bun you want on your burger. I had a bison burger with bacon and American cheese medium well. The burger was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and I could tell it was bison since bison is a leaner meat than beef.
For history buffs out there, this restaurant is also located in the most historic building of Havre de Grace. Known as the Rodger’s House, this building is the only surviving residence from the Raid of Havre de Grace in 1813 during the War of 1812.
Overall, I would recommend this location for those who love burgers, those who love history, and those who love Havre de Grace and all its charm.

Abbey Burger HDG was a great experience. As for the food, I ordered the Baltimore Burger and a side on sweet potato fries (upcharge). The food was really good and superstar of the dish were the sweet potato fries. Among some of the best I’ve had. The burger was cooked to the perfect temp (medium). The crab dip was interesting but still very good. Overall I really liked the staff, they were friendly and work had for the crowd we had come in so that always appreciated. If you need a great burger spot and avoid the hassle of the inner harbor you don’t have to leave your county!

I’ve never met someone so petty they questioned their tip after poor service.
Have your employer pay your salary and don’t question me for over priced beer and your inability to handle a situation professionally. I was nearly over charged for their pickle chips special pricing and then was chastised for asking for a correction on my chit.
Don’t mark $6 all week, then start asking questions if I “mind paying more… ?”
Yeah I do. That’s false advertising and to even put me on the spot for my clarification shows a real lack of professionalism. Maybe that’s why this place was dead at dinner rush.

We had lunch on a whim, and we were very pleased we stopped at Abbey Burger. I decided on the Baltimore burger. It was delicious! The burger was cooked exactly as I ordered, the crab dip was flavorful as was the bacon. My hubby ordered the AJ10 which he was enjoyed as well. I snatched up some of his tots that were served with it, oh.my! They were crispy and yummy! The atmosphere was nice, and service was great. Everyone was friendly. The prices are as to be expected for the menu selections. I can’t wait to go back.
We had our second lunch at Abbey Burger and my husband found his new favorite.. the lamb Burger with sweet potato fries. My burger on a pretzel roll was just as delicious as the first time.
Kids tenders were a win with our daughter. I taste tested myself, and they are crispy and tender.
I did a byo on a pretzel roll, Angus beef, pineapple, sautéed onion, Abby sauce, tomato and pickles. It was cooked medium rare just as I ordered, so delicious. I enjoyed it very much and am already wanting to have it again.
The service is slow the different times we went; however, with how crazy things are nowadays, we understand completely and it doesn’t bother us, as we do know that everyone is struggling in some way. We also know that the food is worth the wait and our bellies are satisfied at the end. Good food with family quality time is always a good time.

Great food! Love the “build your own burger” option and ease of doing so using selection sheet outlining all options available. So much easier than having to go thru the process with a server. Appreciated having vegan and vegetarian options too! Word of caution…if you don’t like spicy, avoid the pickles. Waffle fries were perfect. Sweet potato fries were a bit greasy more than likely due to being super thin. Focaccia bread was tasty but fell apart making eating a bit messy. Perhaps having it toasted would make a difference. Our server, Holly, was attentive and thorough despite how busy they were. Only negative is how loud the environment was making conversation difficult but to be expected given the amount of people and live band playing. Will definitely be back.

A great place for an inspired burger! The name and the door might be a bit small and hard to find, but worth the look. The bar in front is a little cramped, but they make room for live entertainment. Down the hall in back is a quieter, larger dining room. The staff is friendly and helpful. The fried pickles were crisp and tasty, I wish there was a little more dipping sauce. It was delicious. I tried the lamb burger (olive spread, cucumber, romaine, herb yogurt, feta, pepperoncini, pita) with sweet potato fries and I was not disappointed. The ingredients were fresh and I really enjoyed the flavors. My husband had the bison burger(bison burger, jalapenos, salsa, avocado, pepperjack, spicy crème fraiche , classic bun), cooked to his liking, almost rare. You can’t get this just anywhere.

We started with the pretzel with cheese sauce, we were happy with this choice, the cheese sauce had some spice so it wasn’t the normal we were used to. The special mustard that came with it was a little dry, so my brilliant wife added some yellow mustard to the mix and we were good to go. I had the simple AJ10 which was good, I liked the tots and cheese sauce it came with. My wife had the mushroom mac & cheese and a field of greens salad with feta, both were very good. My daughter did a build your own with the basics. Over all everything was good, but it was expensive for burgers.

I was in the mood for a burger and my boyfriend suggested this place. It did not disappoint! They have a great menu but they also have a build your own option where you get a piece of paper almost like a scantron and there’s so many options for what type of pattie, bun, and toppings you want. You could go a million times without making the same burger twice. And they have toppings ive never seen anywhere else. My boyfriend got peanut butter and raspberry habenero on his and it was definitely different but also delicious. We will definitely be back!

We decided to try Abbey Burger on a recommendation from my brother-in-law! We were not at all disappointed either. The selection of meats for your burger is pretty impressive… From Kobe beef to camel (which is the meat of the month for August) there is pretty much something for everyone. For appetizers we got fried pickles and alligator bites. Both of the appetizers were seasoned and fried perfectly, in fact the alligator bites were the best I’ve had anywhere. I ordered the Kobe beef burger MW w/ let, saut onion, LM, and pickles sautéed onions. Wife had Alligator burger W w/ Tom, Pick, Abbey sauce, and cucumber. Both on pretzel buns. My burger was exceptional juicy and flavorful, exactly what I expected a Kobe burger to be like. My wife’s alligator burger is hard to explain since we have never had anything like it… But it was absolutely delicious! Side note: Our server Amanda was very attentive, friendly, and responsive to our needs.
All in all Abbey Burger provided us with a fantastic meal. It is in a good location for doing some after lunch small town shopping as well!
