The servings are very large. And was pretty good. I had a burrito with lingua and cabaz the cheek meat was super tinder and flavorful. The lingua was lacking. It was a bit heavy on the lettuce for my taste and cold off the burrito and make it a bit wet. I would like to go back and try some more items everything looked really good.

The whole place is very homey. Like you’re at a family members house for a meal. The food was amazing and the price is on point. Portions were huge! Rice and beans were great and that’s a big deal for me.

The server who took the orders is really nice and helpful, we didn’t wait for too long for food, also you can shop at the grocery store next. Food tasted a little bit bland, but they offered really good salsa to add flavor. For portion size, they are really big compared to the price you paid.

Portions are huge and priced very reasonable. One of our favorites. Haven’t been disappointed yet. 3 sizes of burritos .

Vastly OVERRATED. Large portions but average quality AT BEST. I had an Azada (Steak) taco with Queso Fresco Cheese, a Adobada (Marinated Steak) taco with Queso Fresco Cheese and a Molida (Ground Beef) quesadilla. Though I paid extra for Queso Fresco Cheese on both my tacos, I received NONE and Uber Eats refunded LESS than I paid for the cheese. I AM UTTERLY SICK OF THIS SCAM! Of the three meats, I preferred the Adobada. The quesadilla had very little cheese and the ground beef had an odd flavor, not AT ALL what I expect from Mexican ground beef.
A friend had a steak burrito, which she liked but found it to have too much lettuce and onion.
Another friend had steak Huarache and an order of Rice and Beans. He liked the Huarache, but found it very soupy to eat. He found the Rice and Beans only average.
There are NUMEROUS superior Mexican restaurants in the Quad Cities!

I hadn’t eaten here since it was rebuilt due to a fire. Delicious food, large portions, very reasonably priced, free chips and salsa. Homemade horchata. Great selection of bakery goods. Very busy on a Saturday at lunch time but worth the wait.

We stopped for lunch here one Sunday. Even with a lot of people in the restaurant the service was quick. The waitress forgot our waters and a part of our order but this was quickly fixed so A+ recovery. The food itself was full of flavor and very well priced. They had several sauce options, 2 of which seemed to be made in the kitchen and were absolutely delicious. I couldn’t get enough of them. Then afterwards we went next door to the grocery store for some snacks straight from Mexico. Overall a great experience.

Incredible, authentic tacos. The Lengua is the best I have had outside of Mexico. Güeros, beware of some of the hot salsas!

I can’t say enough positive things about Abarrotes Carrillo! My meal was delicious; service was friendly and fast. My entire family enjoyed their food and our trip to the adjoining grocery store after. I can’t wait to come back! If you haven’t already tried them out, you must!
