We had an unforgettable experience and the food was delectable. They host “dinner and a movie” events throught the year for only $25 a person, and I highly recommend this adventure. The service was top tier! They even offered a hot chocolate bar.

Tonight we had Waldorf salad and bacon wrapped figs. We were served butternut squash soup with apples as well. Then we had a choice between stuffed chicken or lamb chops with mashed potatoes and grilled brussel sprouts. For desert we were treated to their version of figgy pudding with vanilla ice-cream.

We were passing through the town and we stumbled upon the Chickasaw Cultural Center. We were greeted at the gate and told about all of the events currently going on. We were originally just there for the cafe, but we stayed and learned a lot!

The Indian tacos were absolutely delicious, mostly owing to the wonderful fry bread. I am going to try to make the fry bread myself because it was so good. The buffalo burger I got was pretty good, not very different from a beef burger. The venison stew was really good, especially when dipping fry bread in it.

If I’m ever traveling through the area again, I’ll probably stop by.

This was my second time with my church family. OMG! The Indian Bread is to die for–it’s delicious! There’s an edible Spiral Garden where all or a portion of the kitchen’s food comes from. I’ve uploaded 48 pictures I took of the garden.
If you get hot, while walking around looking at everything, stop by the water containers provided at each intersection of your walk–the water is cold and free!

This place is definitely worth a visit for lunch. The café atmosphere is bright and comfortable and the food is very reasonably priced, especially for the portions. Our family got the Chickasaw special, an elk burger, and 2 kids’ meals and couldn’t finish it all. Everything was fresh and well-prepared.

So as we were walking in we talked to a host about things going on and what was good at the Cafe (almost lunch time). He was very courteous, talking to my nephews and explaining things not to miss. When we did have lunch the staff explained the different plates and things that would be good to share.
All in all the whole Cultural Center was an incredible experience.

Unfortunately for me I ate at Aaimpa cafe. I unusually like to complain about a place so here it goes: they gave to big of portions that tasted great and the cost was to low! It was clean and cool. That was really upsetting as the staff was friendly on top of it! I had nothing to complain about. On a side note, when you tour the village, I might recommend going out on the sky bridge as it looks down on the village and really has an impact. We watched and participated in a stomp dance. All of the folks were so nice and took time to explain background, importance and helped understanding it’s importance. If you do not like friendly people who shake your hand then this might not be your cup of tea.

Food was good, staff was nice, long wait for your food depending on what you order. Prices were reasonable and portions are generous.

Edit: We went recently & the food was terrible, my husband’s indian taco was flat & hard & just gross. The soups were good, but someone messed up big time on that fry bread!
