Well this was my first time ordering here. Staff was very polite. I came in with several questions and Begin telling the young lady that I was on a no-sodium to low sodium diet. And asked her if I could get my whitening fish prepared with no salt seasoning or maybe fried plain. She said no they don’t have that option so I ordered a salad with my whitening fish plate. My salad was delicious however my three-piece whitening fish was very salty. I only had a chance to eat one piece. I took the other two pieces home to my brother and my mom who are on a regular diet. They also stated that the fish was a little salty to their taste but it was very delicious. So I was a little disappointed because I didn’t get to finish my meal and I really wanted a fish plate. I wish that I had the option of frying my fish with no seasoning or plain like chicken wings is prepared in most places. ☹️

This food truck was at Railroad’s symphony in the park and I am SO glad. I wasn’t super interested in any of the other food trucks, but this one caught my eye. They have quesadillas, wings, and burgers. I got the buffalo chicken cheese fries for $13 and it was an ample serving. The buffalo sauce was so smokey and flavorful. The cheese was a tasty liquid cheese and they topped it with ranch too. YUM! I was so happy with my food choice and I would seek out this food truck again. I feel like I definitely need to get my hands on their chicken wings! The lady taking my order was also super sweet and answered my questions nicely even though they were busy.

First college football game of the season, so I needed some wings, and decided to try A Train instead of the usual BWW or Publix, and I’m glad that I did! I got a 50 piece with lemon pepper and Honey BBQ sauces. The wings were tender & done all the way through, but not hard & tough, cause I don’t like hard wings. I also like that the ranch sauce was a good name brand “Ken’s Steak House Ranch” with an expiration date instead of some generic ranch that some places pour in a container and you don’t know what brand it is. The cashier in my photo was nice, helpful, and patient since this was my first time there. I will definitely return soon.

The food is FIRE. So delicious, made with love, and comforting in the way only Southern food can be. Usually I get their hot lemon pepper catfish plate (also fire) with Philly fries and my hubby gets the jerk chicken quesadilla (also, also fire—seeing a pattern here?) but today they had a special loaded tater so you know I had to snag it.
I opted for the seafood potato and y’all… I am in HEAVEN. Fish and shrimp doused in this creamy, buttery sauce with the cheesy potato… MMM! And to wash it all down, the Locomotive Lemonade was a stellar choice as well. It’s like the best fruit punch ever.
Everything on their menu is a hit—fish, wings, chicken, THE OKRA you’ll never make a bad choice at A-Train.

I had a dinner party at my house and ordered oxtail, baked chicken and macaroni and cheese. All my guests talked about was how good the food tasted. People said it was the best oxtail they ever had, I agree. The chicken was falling off the bone and very flavorful and the mac and cheese was perfection! Everything was sooo good. Definitely ordering catering services again.

Day two of my Birmingham Restaurant Week food reviews and this one is on A-Train Station.
Originally I came here to order the polish sausage but when I got to the window to order it I was told they were out and were trying to get more. So I ended up putting in a different order. When I went back to pick up my order the guy had just walked up with fresh sausages and I was heart broken. But I will be sure the next time I comeback to this food truck I will be getting that polish sausage for sure!
So let’s get into what I order. I went ahead and got the bacon cheese burger that came with peppers and onions with white american cheese and a side of seasoned fries. If you saw my review yesterday you see what I’m already about to talk about. Once again a burger with bacon bits instead of actual bacon strips. I don’t know if this is a trend or a cutting cost thing but I just don’t like it. However the burger itself was pretty good it was a thick patty that was well seasoned but there was a seasoning I couldn’t quit figure out what it was but it had a weird lingering flavor I just did not like and for that this burger gets a 7.5/10. Really good burger but idk whatever that flavor was threw it off for me.
The seasoned fries were good. Crispy and salty crinkle cut fries what more can you ask for? 9/10
These guys also had a Philly Cheese steak and Philly Cheese Fries that my buddy Rashad Caldwell and man when I tell you he inhaled it in less then 5 seconds which left me to believe it was very good and from what I saw it looked very good.
My other buddy Stati Jones had their Philly Cheese Steak Quesadilla and here’s what he had to say about it… “Loved it! A great concept. I love both Quesadillas and Philly Cheese Steaks. Combining them was a great idea! 8/10”
Go check these guys out they are putting out great food and I can’t wait to go back so I can finally get the elusive Polish Sausage lol!

Best Jamaican jerk sauce in Birmingham. Loaded fries are perfect every time and quesadillas are fantastic. The Philly egg roll is good but needs a sauce or cheese to dip it in!
