It’s a great little place in the heart of old Town Glendale…

It was to be our New Year’s Eve celebratory meal, but sadly they were closed for vacation. Once we remembered we wanted to go there, it was three weeks later, it was definitely worth it. Husband and wife team; he’s in the kitchen, she’s out front. Per usual, we ordered everything we wanted to try. EVERYTHING WAS SUPERB. Pictured mango passionfruit tea drinks, kielbasa platter with sausage, bacon, onions, pickles. Toasted bread to perfection. Main course.. Hunter Stew two big pieces of sausage. Homemade pasta, sauerkraut, cabbage, also had Hungarian Pork Goulash with shredded and bigger chunks of pork, carrots, side of green beans (very unique flavor). NO we didn’t forget dessert, chocolate mousse cake over the top also lemoncello cake. We got two coconut macaroon cookies dipped in dark chocolate. We were so satisfied with everything from the food to the conversation with owner and my girl. The spot is in the historic district in Glendale.

Oh my goodness! How on earth did I miss this place?! I have walked or driven past here dozens of times. The food is fabulous, heavenly! We tried the pork goulash, very different than anything I’ve tried and superb! And the chicken salad sandwich was amazing! Never heard of apricot walnut bread which is outstanding! Oh my gosh! The split pea soup is the best I’ve had in Phoenix next to my own. The waitress was super friendly and happy to answer the many questions I asked.

Went there the other day as new customers! The atmosphere was great and the owners were so kind. They knew everyone. The food was amazing and their pierogi and sour dill soup was absolutely amazing. We had an appetizer, soup, entre, and dessert. I just have to say, the desert is a must!!
