Amazing restaurant, delicious food, beautiful patio! We went for a birthday celebration, and Michelle and the entire staff were incredible. We ordered the caprese salad, gnocchi, short ribs, and the fish of the day. Everything was unforgettable, from the food to the ambiance to the staff. Don’t skip this place!

If you are accustomed to eating real Italian food, I do not recommend this place. Everyone raves about the gnocchi, which we ordered, and it was alright, but not excellent like others, on this page have stated. I ordered the Cacio Pepe and had to return it because it had olive oil in it (a huge no-no for Italians). We also ordered the short ribs over risotto, and that was underwhelming as well. Again, if you have traveled to Italy and you know what real Italian food is supposed to taste like, do not go to this place, you will be disappointed.

This is a hidden gem, food was fantastic. The portobello mushroom is a must. I don’t even really like mushrooms and I could eat their dish everyday. Braised short rib was perfectly done. The gnocchi was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and on point. A Tavola is in my go to spots in Chicago.

Cozy, traditional Italian dining, in a place that’s easy to miss from the street. They really do have the best gnocchi in town. Every bite was perfect, and it’s pretty reasonably priced. Good place for a date!

Was really excited to check this spot out, liked that it was sort of hidden – you could walk past it thinking it was just another house.
