My first time trying and I can say this place has the best food I ever eaten! Everything was cooked to perfection! The portions are amazing! The chicken fried and chicken over the rice both cooked to perfection juicy and seasoned perfectly! The rice cooked perfectly and paired perfect with the chicken all the flavors together is so mouth watering! The greens have so much flavor! They really had me sold at that chicken and the greens but then there’s the Mac n cheese wow let’s talk about the best Mac n cheese I am total Mac n cheese person and this Mac n cheese is now my favorite Mac n cheese! Corn bread buttery and sweet just the way I like it! I can honestly say this place needs recognition for their food! It’s definitely made with love heart and soul! I ordered through the TooGoodToGo app and I had the best experience and quality of food I could have asked for! Thank you so much!

I ordered 2 chicken dinners with 2 sides for delivery. First, the order was cold when it was dropped off. Second, they got the order wrong. One of the sides I ordered was peas with rice. We got plain yellow rice. The chicken looked and smelled old, like it had been under a heat lamp all day. A total waste of money. When I called the restaurant to discuss it with them, I got some rude guy that hung up on me as soon as he found out I had a complaint. We were so disappointed and so hungry. We had to just make a sandwich. We will never buy from this restaurant again

Walking in and immediately being greeted with hey baby by the lady at the counter I knew this was going to be worth the stop.
This isn’t fast food make you order and wait trust it is worth it.
Come hungry portions are generous seasoned to perfection, jerk chicken was MELT in you mouth tender rice was fluffy the collard greens and cabbage where perfection. Also don’t forget the peach cobbler it was as good as my grandmas

Ms. Country is running an honest and credible establishment here. I decided to give it a try on Too Good To Go. I support any business that uses that app/website because it’s a great way to not only sample a restaurant, but it allows Customers to enjoy samples of great food while supporting the elimination of food waste.
Pictured is a good portion of catfish pieces, cabbage, mac & cheese, cornbread, and some peach cobbler. One thing I miss about living closer to the South and visiting family in the South is the great food. This food was a great “memory jogger” if you will, of great food and flavors, and it actually out-did all memories. The food is on point and I will be back with friends and family.
Honestly I was hesitant to try this place based on reviews. However, let this be a constant reminder to never NOT do something based on what you hear. Take chances in life and go with God and form your own opinions and experiences. Thank you, Ms. Country, for your hospitality, great service, but most importantly for delicious food.

To say I order food frequently would be an understatement. It’s almost a problem. This food from taste of soul was hands down the best I have ever ordered and I was 20 minutes away!! The oxtails are amazing seasoned just like how you would get in the Caribbean. The star of the show is the fried chicken, I was blown away at how crispy and juicy perfectly seasoned it was. Also the lady on the phone was so nice. Hats off to this restaurant. Will definitely be spreading the word!!

All around fantastic!! I ordered on a Saturday night when the restaurant had been slammed. There was a bit of a wait because of this, but when I received the food it was nothing short of WORTH IT. I’ll also note the staff was very kind and friendly, and got my order to me in good time still!! They seasoned that chicken DOWN. Delicious, smackin, 10/10, get off the reviews and order right away.

This was a restaurant that I was looking forward to ordering from because my mother used to order from them in the past. She has not had their food in a while so I decided to treat her as well as her two grand babies and myself. We ordered a Catfish sandwich with coleslaw at the side for my mother, catfish tacos for me and stew chicken and rice for the boys. Punch or all of us to share and peach cobbler.
Honest feedback:
My mother was disappointed with the sandwich. It was quite small. Her coke slaw was not delivered and they admitted the mistake but said they packed potato salad because they did not have coke slaw. This was not even there also, they should have called back to inform us. The owner said she would send a driver back out with the side and he never came!
The tacos were ok. The catfish was salty! The sauce was good. My boys did not like the chicken. It was dry(no gravy and the chicken was shredded). Needless to say, they picked over it.
We did enjoy the punch and cobbler however, this is NOT a place we order from again.

Yes, it was coleslaw and as you can see that was obviously a typo as it was spelled correctly in the beginning of my message but thanks for catching that. Although I appreciate your response, there is no need for the pettiness. The weather conditions were not the best; it was cold but visibility was okay.However, you should not have stated you would resend the driver. You could have also, followed up the next day as a courtesy and offered to give a credit toward our next order OR simply have it sent the next day. Anything would have been better than staying silent. Noted about the reason behind the shredded stew chicken (now I know). Once again, this is constructive feedback for you and your business and wish you all the best.

Don’t listen to the dried chicken reviews. The crust of the chicken is supposed to be dry it’s fried chicken. Crispy on the outside good flavor
Chicken was good. Chicken was 8 out of 10
Mac and cheese portion a little small but not a deal breaker. Pretty good. Mac was 7.5 out of 10
Collard greens were 7.8 out of 10
Corn bread was kinda dense but ok. Cornbread 6 out of 10.
Staff friendly
Inside could be more inviting and spruced up for the eat in section.

I’ve been here 3 times now and at first was very hesitant because of the reviews. The first 2 times I came in and placed an order. The people working were very kind and helpful. Today i saw them on the Too Good To Go app and placed an order for 8.99. They were very kind and generous with the portion. The chicken is always very flavorful!!
I will definitely be back not only because of the food, but the great customer service.
