This restaurant is definitely a Taste of Soul. Tiffany Jackson is the heartbeat of theis restaurant! Each bite you will be amazed by the flavor and SOUL of every delicious creation. We stopped by after church to celebrate a family member’s birthday and we were not disappointed.
I had fried fish with chicken spaghetti, collard greens a dinner roll and lemonade/kool-aid mixed! My word! Every bite was delicious and flavorful! The drink hit the spot as well. Taste like it was made at home! My wife had dark meat chicken with macaroni and cheese and collard greens and dinner roll! She had sweet tea for her beverage! My wife tried the peach cobbler which definitely didn’t disappoint!
This was definitely a great stop for lunch and we will definitely be back to be blessed by Ms. Tiffany and her wonder crew! Everyone was so helpful, polite and it really felt like Sunday dinner at Big mommy’s house!

So good got three plates to go!!! Tiffany can cook!! We dined in with three plates and got three plates to go. So we had to compliment the chef. And upon doing so… Tiffany said she cooks it all! The food was seasoned to perfection with love and fresh… leaves you wanting more and more. Worth the drive if you aren’t in the area of Raymond, Ms and Tiffany says she caters as well. Looks like there isn’t much Tiffany and A Taste Of Soul can’t do!! And o did I forget to mention that they have live music as well provided to us who dined in by TrebleMaker Entertainment throughout the meal. And as their business slogan says there is a taste of flavor in every bite. And tell em the Hornby family sends you their regards and well wishes.

I ordered my meal to-go but that was a BIG mistake because the aroma coming from the bag forced me to pull-over and start chowing down right before I made it to Hinds CC. Simply put, the food was phenomenal and I didn’t get a chance to capture any pictures. FYI, I got the baked chicked, greens, field peas, and cornbread! The staff was friendly and professional as well. Looking forward to visiting on a Sunday for the peach cobbler, which is only served on this day.

I got the hot plate lunch to go a few weeks ago from A Taste of Soul. It was very good. The staff was really friendly and refreshing to talk to. The food was excellent. I hope you guys have a lot of success here because it’s nice to have a great place to eat in Raymond.

Update: I decided to give place another try 2 days later on April 13, 2023. I called to place a pick-up order as it was raining and I didn’t want to wait, however, I was informed that there was no wait and so, in essence, I couldn’t place a pick-up order. But upon arrival, the parking lot was so full, I barely found a parking space. Once I entered, the lady fixed the customer’s plate who was ahead of me and then proceeded to disappear for 7 minutes until she brought out a new pan of rice instead of asking me if I was ordering any rice which I wasn’t. This time I ordered the fried chicken and some different sides including yams. The fried chicken had alot of dark spots and no taste. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere. April 11, 2023: I ordered baked chicken, cabbage greens, mashed potatoes with gravy, cornbread and grape kool-aid. In my opinion, the chicken didn’t have any taste and could have been cooked at least 15-20 minutes longer. The cabbage wasn’t bad but something was missing. I wasn’t a fan of the cornbread either. I will give it another try and eat something different just to be fair.

OMG, the Oxtails, Greens and Candy Yams are magnificent!!! Good Food, Good Clean Facility, Good Vibes, and Excellent Service!!!! My Mom is an exceptional cook, and she ate all of her food. She usually takes food home to add spices or finish cooking by not from A Taste Of Soul. My sisters and I were shocked. You got to go!!!!!!! Then go to my TikTok page and tell me how your experience was. Excited about my next visit!!!!!
