My kids have been here but, my husband and I haven’t had the opportunity until Thursday October 16,2025. I had the catfish nuggets and he had the shrimp tacos. We split the loaded fries. Was absolutely the best catfish nuggets I’ve had!!!! Everything was delicious i would recommend this place to everyone. (We had to had , take most home because it was definitely filling plus we had to try the ice cream) Ted and Wallys ice cream is located in the same place which I also, give a 5 star review!!!! Unfortunately we ate the ice cream without pictures

The Co-Owner was professional, friendly, and welcoming. I ended up getting the loaded fries with fried shrimp with who dat sauce and also got peach cobbler beignets. Portions are a good size and food is delicious.

Yummm! Wow! Delicious amazing food. I am amazed every time I eat here. The food is mouth watering. So flavorful and seasoned perfectly. Hot and fresh. Desserts are sweet and tasty. They have daily specials and meal deal pricing. The food is so good. It will make you want to try their whole menu and you will feel like you took a trip to New Orleans every time !

The guy at the counter was very friendly. I ordered the fried catfish and shrimp combo. The fish didn’t taste like catfish and was a bit salty. The shrimp and fries were good!! The “who dat punch” was good as well.

I’m so very disappointed with my experience with this restaurant. Me and the wife placed a order for pickup ,I ordered the loaded fries with andoule sausage and the wife got a catfish platter ,not only did we have to wait a hour after the food was suppose to be ready for pick up but once we received the food it wasn’t good at all, the fries I ordered weren’t seasoned at all the cheese tasted cheap and the sausage tasted more like fried hotdogs then anything and everything was just soooooo dry, As far as the wife catfish went same thing just dry and bland no flavor to it at all…. I was really looking forward to enjoying the food here being that it was both me and the wife’s first time here and im sad to said I will not be returning and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good southern food.

I heard so much about this place prior to coming to the city, so I decided to give it a try. On the app, it said that their special was the catfish stuffed jambalaya. But when I got there, they only had pastas as their specials. I was so disappointed because I was really looking forward to the stuffed catfish. We settled on one blackened catfish and shrimp special and one fried catfish special with shrimp. After paying for our meal, we were told, “Hey, I forgot we don’t have any shrimp.” How can you forget a major item like that, especially after we’ve already paid and are expecting shrimp?

When we got back home to enjoy our meal, we found out they had given us both fried fish instead of one blackened and one fried. Another disappointment. They didn’t give enough sauce for the fish or fried items, just one small container. The smothered green beans were extremely salty, and the candy yams were way too sweet. The only positive thing I can say is that the fried catfish had flavor, but it was so thin. Overall, I was just let down by the experience. I don’t understand how you can run out of a main staple like shrimp and only tell your customers after they’ve paid. We had to come up with our own solution because the cashier didn’t offer anything extra, even though we paid for something they didn’t have. We asked for an extra piece of fish in exchange for the lack of shrimp.

Most aromatic restaurant I’ve ever been in. Walk in to homemade ice cream being churned. Then the smell of grandma’s kitchen when u hit the counter. Nicest folks I’ve met in a kitchen. Great food, nice folks… 100% example of what customer service USED to be. Keep it up, Taste of Nuolins!!

Ordered for pickup- Amazing potion sizes, i got the extra sauce i asked for, and a free 2 small slices of lemon cake. The food was all seasoned well, especially the shrimp. A very good amount of food for the price too. FIVE STARS!! I will definitely be back again soon!!

Some of my coworkers were talking about this place having the best Blackened shrimp and grit in Omaha; so I thought I come try it for myself.

This place is perfectly located on the corner of Maple St and Lynn Av in the old BENSON area.

They have some a small designated parking lot, and there is additional parking along the street too. The restaurant is spacious, very nicely decorated with a very nice selection of music playing.

The lady at the counter was very friendly and offered several suggestions.
I finally decided to get the catfish, blackened shrimp with green beans, yams and a side of grits…. OH MY GOD was I surprised with my first sample of everything on my plate.

The menu is a bit busy…but once you take a second to sort through it, you will see that they have a very nice selection for everybody preference.

Overall summary = Everything was perfectly cook and tasted great! I will definitely be returning to try other things on the menu..

THE CATFISH – was cooked perfectly; seasoned well, cooked properly and seasoned to perfection.

THE BLACKENED SHRIMP – was juicy, flavorful and also cooked perfectly. I would have liked to have a larger shrimp for my order but those that I received were just fine.

THE YAMS – were cubed, and cooked perfectly; very tender with a glaze on them that was perfect…..not too sweet, it had a nice balance of seasoning with a very sticky icky good-good coating.

THE GREEN BEANS – were nicely cooked and were also seasoned very nicely.

I also had their “Who dat punch” and it was on the sweet side, but definitely a nice addition to my meal. Note: (they offer “free” refills), so be sure to get you a glass togo.

I got a fried oyster poboy. The fried oysters were very good but this is not a poboy. The bread is wrong and that’s what makes a poboy a povoy and not a sub. The woman who took my order was very nice. I lived in Southern Louisiana for 20+ years and know true Louisiana. Food wasn’t bad but wasn’t what I was expecting
