Delightful and well spent time at this tea house, we ordered the full afternoon tea and we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of food we had received! Leaving there completely full and having such a lovely time, our waitress? excuse me if that’s incorrect term was extremely kind and so was the gentlemen hosting who let us know as soon as everything was set up. Great amount of space that still leaves room for an intimate kind of setting and still pretty open. The waiting area is partial gift shop and had various Britain themed / tea items. 10/10 experience here

What a lovely way to spend a snowy afternoon, enjoying high tea and shopping at the cute British gift store. My adult daughter and I shared a $40 tea service, which was plenty of food for sampling. Eight tea sandwiches and four flavors, including: curry, chicken, cheddar, and chutney, turkey, and cranberry, and egg salad. A very yummy warm chocolate chip scone was on our second layer of the tier. Topped off with three bite-size desserts. The tea list is expansive and it was hard to choose. Looking back I wish we could’ve tried like a flight of teas since there were so many wonderful options. The waitress was very polite and helpful with making selections. I highly recommend for a special afternoon outing!

My friend and I went to the Christmas Tea.
Having been here once before and remembering a wonderful time, I was a little underwhelmed.
The pistachio biscotti was delightful. I liked that the most.
I didn’t see cheese listed on the menu for the roast beef sandwich. I liked it, my friend doesn’t eat cheese. She saw it before biting into the sandwich. The savory offerings were very tasty. I had the orange caramel oolong tea. That was worthy of a repeat. I normally do a unflavored tea. I really enjoyed it.
Taste is subjective. Some of the flavor profiles didn’t work for me. Lemon frosted Gingerbread, the lemon was an oil, it was too strong for the Gingerbread.
The peppermint frosted Gingerbread scone was not to my liking. The peppermint was overwhelming. I would have paired this with fig jam, as opposed to strawberry.
I do like their gingerbread. It was the frostings. They were too strong.
The amuse bouche was very good. The asparagus was cooked perfectly.

A Taste of Britain is a wonderful tea place! We came for their Valentine’s day tea and everything was tasty. We tried the Cupid’s Arrow tea, Strawberry Parfait tea, and Chocolate cherries tea. Each one was lovely. The staff is also so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend checking it out.

First time I’ve eaten here, we had the full tea service! Everything was so good, the sandwiches(especially the curried chicken one!), scone(I had buttermilk) and tea (I had earl grey a la creme). And service was great! They also have a nice gift shop at the front with prepared food as well, I got some scones to take home.

Waiter was fantastic. Tea was wonderful and the little finger sandwiches were delicious! We were able to sit, talk and have and multiple cups of tea. I really enjoyed. I just thought it was a tad pricey. I would definitely go again. Plenty of parking too.

A very nice place to meet for lunch but especially for tea or high tea. There are quaint British touches (the salt & pepper shakers, for sure, and the restroom sign that points to the Loo) but not over-cutsie with knick-knacks and super flowered decor. It’s a spacious, clean, modern decor. They have beautiful tea sets, the high tea flavors are very good and the sandwiches, scones and desserts were excellent.
The tea store has lovely, authentic imported items – including those cute salt & papper shakers, and candy bars from the Cadbury line not sold in the US 😉
We have experienced high tea at many places over the years and this was my favorite for food and for the excellent staff and service, too.

Taste of Britain has the most authentic afternoon tea outside of Devon or Cornwall. The teas are high quality and smooth, the sandwiches are perfect (especially the cheese and chutney!), and the scones were perfectly made – form on the outside and soft in the middle. Of course, the key to the perfect tea? Clotted cream and strawberry preserves/jam… it was all there!!
Well done!
Taste of Britain also has one of the best collections of British foods and groceries in their store – although in all honesty the groceries are a little expensive compared to other places in the Philly area.
If you want an afternoon tea experience, this is probably the best place in Philadelphia!

Stumbled upon this hidden gem on a quick PA trip! The Easter tea menu was a treat—savories were spot-on, and the tea selection was impressive. Loved the dessert so much, we grabbed extras for home. Warm service, lovely ambiance, prices leaned a bit high but a place worth experiencing!

My wife loves tea and I’ve had the pleasure of taking her to different tea houses over the past few years. This place is about 7-8 hour trip back and forth for us so it’s not exactly around the corner, but everything was worth the drive and my wife was very happy. We’ve been there only twice so far because of the distance, but we made a reservation for next weekend and I’m very excited to see my wife happy. I assure you that if you want to impress someone for a special occasion, this would be the right place.
