It’s an all you can eat so quantity proceeds quality. The Nigiri and sushi were fresh but I felt like it was lacking seasoning and that flavor. It was kind of bland. The apps were pretty good with the exception with the calamari. It was really rubbery. The server was nice but there was a language barrier there. She also checked on us twice and the food took a while to come out. Sometimes we were sitting for 15 mins without anything. We ordered a little to try it out then it took another 30 mins to get our 2nd round of rolls. We were trying to leave but my son wanted dessert and it took them 20 mins to bring out a scoop of ice creams. Server checked on us twice and I just kept telling her we were still waiting for the ice cream.

Even though the price is slightly higher than other AYCE sushi ($40.99/person), the sashimi quality and food types are pretty satisfying. Compared to Sakura $29.99/person, A Sushi is like an upgrade from low to medium level of sushi. It has more types of appetizers and food sections.
The spicy garlic edamame and cappaccio are very delicious. All food is tasty.
Their green tea is real matcha powder, not cheap tea bag.

Disappointment: fried scallops and fried soft craps (bitter).

I like the decorative sushi boat and signing birthday song.

Very busy spot on a weekend lunch! There was a line out the door, but the wait was only about 20 minutes—not bad given the crowd. The hostess stand was a bit curt (understandably, with so many people to manage), but once seated, our server Josiah was excellent: friendly, attentive, and efficient.

As far as all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi goes, the menu selection and overall quality are fairly average. They do put on a fun show with some dishes—trays featuring mermaids, dry-ice smoke, and other theatrics—but I’d personally prefer the food itself to look more appetizing than to rely on the presentation gimmicks.

Overall, it was perfectly okay and worth trying once, but I probably won’t return or become a regular. I’ll stick to my usual non-AYCE spots in the future.

4.5. The sushi we had was pretty fresh. They could definitely pare back the rice in the nigiri a bit, but overall can’t complain. They also had a pretty wide selection of hot food items, which, except for the miso soup, were all pretty good. We had the short ribs, fried scallops, shrimp tempura, and they were all not bad. The ambience was fun, casual, and comfortable. The service was friendly, fast, and efficient.

We have lived here for nearly 4 years, but A Sushi and Grill takes the prize for best AYE sushi! It was a delightful experience with some of the best salmon and tuna sashimi in the area. And better than that? They had red snapper as well! My favorite.

Also, fresh tempura calamari and yams (as well as other items we didn’t try) several salad and soup options, noodles galore, and incredible special rolls. The lunch special is a steal at 24.99 but the sashimi/dinner menu is everything you could want for 40.99. Come hungry and get the hot green tea!

Was around the Tempe area and decided to check out this sushi restaurant after seeing so many cool TikTok reels about it. Honestly, I was surprised by the low reviews because this place was amazing!

They have a super cool waiting area before you even enter the restaurant, and it’s an all-you-can-eat sushi spot. My servers, Hana Ira and Isabella Ira, were absolutely fantastic — patient, friendly, and took the time to explain how everything works. They constantly checked in on me and my friend to make sure we were taken care of (I really hope the manager sees this and gives them a raise!).

Everything we ordered was delicious — the fried scallops, shrimp tempura, short ribs, avocado salad, miso soup, and a variety of sushi rolls. They even serve the sushi on these adorable boats with little figurines, which made the experience even more fun.

I’d definitely recommend this spot for families with kids who like sushi, or even if you’re not into sushi — they have plenty of other tasty options on the menu. The staff is friendly, the service was excellent, and the vibe was just right. I’ll definitely be back again! ✨

Very impressed with this sushi spot! Went for lunch all you can eat and the food was phenomenal. The Las Vegas was a 10/10 according to my wife who tries it at every new restaurant. The out of control roll came out with one of their many uniquely crafted platters (ours had dry ice poured into it). Great service and food was prepared quickly!

A Sushi is certainly the best AYCE sushi spot in AZ and with amazing presentation and quality.

The fish to rice ratio is pretty standard but the fish is fresh and nothing to complain about.

I especially loved the baked mussels, carpaccio, and the massive order of green tea ice cream!

We will certainly be returning here for future visits.

Their deluxe sashimi buffet option offers the highest quality sashimi in AZ. The salmon is fresh and buttery soft. The buffet also includes tonkotsu ramen and beef rib. There are limited options for soft shell crab, crab legs, sea urchin nigiri, and wagyu nigiri.
The servers are always smiling and responsive. They made our birthday celebration truly memorable.
Come before 6:15pm on a friday if you don’t want to wait in line for 30 minutes.
