I have had my eye on this place for a while, came in only to find out it’s someplace different altogether. Different cuisine but the same sign. Very misleading. Spanish language, but I don’t think it’s Mexican in any way. You can look at the menus and in my pics and see. The staff wasn’t very interested in translating. Maybe Lard, Stew and Hat means something else but even Google Translate couldn’t help me out. Open unspecific hours.

Square Meal Cafe catered an event for my mom. The food was beyond delicious!! The lamp chops where cooked perfectly. The seafood salad was beyond good, but that key lime pie showed out. I could have ate that all night. Definitely would recommend them for any event.

This place is no longer A Square Meal, although their signage is still on the building. It is Pa’ Que Juancho which is a Latin American/Venezuelan restaurant, not Mexican. I did not order as I was expecting something else, but would like to try someday soon. Gave 5 stars as I did not want to hurt the original owners of the establishment as they seemed to have earned a great reputation. See post for previous reviewer for menu.

Stopped in with mom for a quick bite. We shared the catfish plate with spaghetti. fried okra and corn nuggets. The food was really good, but not salty and fried crispy, but not overcooked. The plate was more than enough for 2ppl. The staff was very friendly and nice.

I ordered the chicken bacon quesadilla and my husband got burger sliders. The food was hot, freah and delicious. Staff was very friendly. The dining area was very neat and clean. We will definitely be back.

I stopped by on a whim. I wasn’t looking for the usual fast food drive thru for lunch. I was greeted by the kind staff and we made quick camaraderie. The restaurant is quaint and cozy but most importantly very clean. I ordered the chicken and cheese quesadilla with fries and made myself at home in the booth by the front. My meal came out quickly and was delicious. Not mention reasonably priced! Sharri checked on me and made sure the food was good and that I was comfortable. This restaurant has a very at-home feel and gives one a sense of well-being and good spirits. I would highly recommend this place to anyone passing through Memphis. The location is convenient, the food is great, the staff is friendly, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Funny story: I ordered the wings, expecting carrots or celery. But instead, it has pickled cucumbers. I thought it was strange but was blown away how tasty it was paired with the wings. YUMMY! My go to meal!

I hate catfish. Nothing has changed. However, this is the first time I’ve thought that the filet within the batter was unworthy of the batter. Everything on their menu is as-good or better than their competitors’ counterpart. If you like a menu item on their menu, you will like whatever they make you —period.

This place is on the property of the company I work for, went in there for the first time.. ordered the cheese steak by recommendation along with fires and a drink.. the cheese steak is totally AMAZING??? Fries were a little too salty for me but they were also very delicious.. Highly Recommend to all of my co workers to check this place out if they already haven’t!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!
